If torres gets injured there's Babel, Kuyt and Keane. Maybe not the best but they get the job done at least till Winter Transfer Window opens and they can get something. But even if he does get injured the chances aren't that high that he gets injured for 4 or 5 months.

Carra amuses me. When Rafa Benitez plays him out of position, he doesn't say a word. When Sven or McClaren did it, then he bitched and moaned about it until he decided to take his ball and go home, like it was their fault that Carra couldn't beat out Rio Ferdinand or John Terry for a starting job in central defense.
Clearly he doesn't see it as an honor to play for his country. Gerrard never complained when Capello played him out of position. Beckham never complained even when he got banished from the national team. I guess we see where Carra's allegiance$ lie.
That's true - Rafa plays him at right-back a lot. If Carra was in the squad he'd have started ahead of Brown on several occassions.
Could it be that Carra got pissed off at the non-serious attitude of the management? I dunno, someone really has to ask him (or read his book).
