Walcott's assist for Arsenal's 2nd goal against Liverpool had viewers enchanted, but the Arsenal teenager has been turning in polished performances of late at the Emirates and offers that vital ingredient - pace - matched with maturing control and vision.

England will play 2 friendlies end season, one with the US and the other with Trinidad & Tobago. Should Walcott get a game here (ahead of other contenders such as Bent, Crouch, Ashton, Agbonlahor)?

If Defoe and Owen, on current form, deserve games then surely Walcott does as well (given his massive potential and England's abject lack of speed).

He should be in the squad but I don't think he should start, he is more of an impact player.

no doubt,he can be one of the young promising talent for England...and for the answer, like Xersesx said,YES truly...I think IF Sven put him on the World Cup starting line-up 2 years ago, maybe England can win the second WC trophy since 1966..

mufan's utter lack of knowledge of English makes his joke all the funnier. Haha!!

He should be in the England sqaud, he's been playing well lately for us and all the talk of him going out on loan because he wasn't up to our standards has been abolished.

But, if he were to play a forward role I don't think he could start - an impact role would be more him, coming on later in the game(s).

As for a winger, I reckon Cappello likes Bentley out wide, and the other wing is sorted of course..

Yes...i agree with 8Ace. He's a great impact player and a great prospect for the future..give 2-3 more years and hes ready to start..and perhaps he's the flair player england so desperately need. Right now..hes not ready 2 start...which u can tell by arsene wenger not starting him in the utd match even when they were struggling so much with injuries and walcott had gone on that wonder run in the match against liverpool

Walcott, like Richards, is a quality young footballer. Yes, he should start for England, but until Owen retires internationally, he won't get many chances.
