   The complete list of nominees (chosen by the players performing at the Italian Serie A) for 2008 Oscar Calcio:

   Best Italian player: De Rossi (Roma), Pirlo (Milan), Del Piero (Juventus).

   Best Foreign Player: Kaka (BRA/Milan), Ibrahimovic (SUE/Inter Milan), Mutu (ROM/Fiorentina).

   Best Player: The nominees are the Best Player and the Best Foreign Player.

   Best Junior Player: Balotelli (Inter), Giovinco (Juventus), Marek Hamsik (SLK/Napoli)

   Best Keeper: Frey (FRA/Fiorentina), Julio Cesar (BRA/Inter Milan), Buffon (Juventus).

   Best Defender: Chiellini (Juventus), Nesta (Milan), Mexes (FRA/Roma).

   i dont understand what can del piero do to win the best player award? he single handedly lifted juve and won the coppaconeri (highest scorer) in the league with 6 goals more than ibra...

   does anyone know where to find the number of penalties each scored?
   i am trying to find how many penalties ibra scored of his 15 goals and the same for del piero

   Ibra scored 8 penalties last season whilst del piero scored 3.......
   still ibra is considered better..hmm.

   once again,individual awards lack some credibility due to a shocking selection system

   You don't have to know lots of chords to play songs that matter

   Is this referees are fair in judging decisions in Serie A matches?

   mufan's utter lack of knowledge of English makes his joke all the funnier. Haha!!

   nop, you can call them fake penalties..
   roma lost the scudetto on the last day........ and launched videos showing how many unfair goals, penalties offsides ..etc.. inter had from referees...

    fake penalties... offside goals etc..
    i cant remember the exact number but inter won many matches last season thanks to the refs.. Roma were so angry and are still to this day angry and they refer to it every now and then.

    in way yes.....they make mistakes like every ref does... but some "weird" stuff happen with inter a lot especially last season.
    whether inter has an effect on refs or no i cant tell even when it seems most probable

    So many aspects of Italian football are bent that most of us think it's like professional boxing. What a shame!

    Indeed...Inter really do have some "ridiculous luck" sometimes....to good to be true when it happens so frequently.
