Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted he will be in no rush to bring in new faces following the end of Euro 2008.

There has been little transfer activity at Manchester United or anywhere else over the last few weeks with many top players away with their countries.

Following the end of the tournament, clubs are now returning for pre-season and Ferguson expects a busy period in the market.

However, the Scot has revealed that he does not plan to make more than one signing as he is happy with the squad that won the Premier League and UEFA Champions League last season.

He told Sky Sports News: "The European Championship derails transfer activity. Nothing really happens when the championships are on.

"Obviously, now that is all over, people settle down.

"Managers are back at their clubs and you can get some dialogue now if they are interested, but I wouldn't think (we would buy) any more than one player.

"We are looking at one or two things."

    No change

Ferguson believes it will be the same four teams challenging for the title next season with Liverpool and Arsenal pushing Chelsea and United hard.

He explained: "I don't see anyone outside of that (the top four) top four emerging so strongly that they are going to break in.

"You expect Liverpool to sign players and Arsenal have shown their hand, buying (Samir) Nasri and (Aaron) Ramsey."

I hope he buys Huntelaar and also Chelsea are in talks with Barcelona over Deco. So Lamps is surely off.

He's probably right. Man U has a very good team and Saha will be playing again next season. But the left wing need a better player in my opinion Giggs is getting old and Nani is to inconsistent. Nani is going to be a great player for that position in 2 or 3 years but he doesn't have enough experience yet. They should get a player like Silva or Van Der Vart.

They need a striker NOW!! I think that Dimi is his sole target, though I wouldn't be surprised if he brought in Klaas or Karim.

I also think that boht Frank and myself could be right if he brings in Robinho.

On top of that, it might be just media tactics. Last year, he said that he was done after bringing in Nani, Anderson and Hargo, but later we found out that he had been in talks with Tevez we he made that statement...

    Cue the Nani jokes...
