I'm worried about this CL tie - we've had united fans (who, being football fans, are unruly themselves, no arguments there) injured in the last two trips and it's probably going to happen again.

Yea, I think there are going to be some problems, but not as many as last time around especially given that Man Utd are going to bring their own stewarts (or so I heard). everything is taken care of, and the only thing left to do is for the fans to behave themselves - what I am afraid of is that some of them will look for some revenge and will get into a riot.
Cue the Nani jokes... -

Roma fans will want to cause trouble, especially if they lose. But the Roman police will be on better behaviour this time. Also, Rome will probably lose CL final in a couple of years time if there's a repeat of any serious trouble, or misconduct by the police.
United fans know if they step out line they'll take a hell of a beating from the Roman police; and if they stray off the recommended paths (i.e. free buses etc) they could face even worse from Roma thugs.
There is a chance of trouble, but I think with all the precautions now being put in place it is more probable that it will go alright on the night. I hope I'm right.
