Manchester United signed Rincón in 2003 but could not obtain a work permit and were forced to release him he was compared to Cafú. He is now at inter milan and i wonder why the home office turned down aplication after aplication. inter milan are a top club and would not just sign anyone and united really did believe he could become a top player.Remember back in the early 90's united had unearted JOVAN KIROVSKI but again he was a similar case and he went on to help dortmund take the 1997 champions league crown and along the way knock out United and this is because he failed to participate in 75% of international matches with the U.S.A however he had 20 caps by the time he was 18 He came through with the nevilles beckham scholes and butt and many at the club thought he was destined to be the best of the lot. i now wonder in a few years will rincón be a star and will the English clubs be on the backfoot with the top clubs of europe because of the difficulty the clubs face to try and get a work permit for the rising youngsters as united have already been outdone with the work permits as when essien was a youngster he had trials with united and impressed but they could not get him while clubs like barcelona can get foreign players with ease when they are young eg messi dos santos real madrid got samuel eto'o and if english clubs cannot compete at this level what else can they do but spend inflated sums for top players from the european clubs to try and keep up with Europes top clubs
