Both the Klose goal and the Ballack goal, there is no doubt, Ricardo was WAY out of position. As explained even by the commentators, you can just run at the ball and stop half way. Either commit fully to going after the ball, or stay on your line. Either way, Portugal were horrible on set plays, with Andy Gray remarking, "This is little kid style defending". But, my question is, do you think that Ricardo's performance against Germany was the main reason for Portugal's ousting from Euro 2008?

What? I didn't foul him, I just nudged him a bit

Not really...it's the sloppy defending...simple...like Ballack's goal,6 Portugal players against 3 Germany players...Ballack only marked by 1 player only...that's why Ballack can easily scored the goal...other reason then Ricardo's

    'WAY out of position'

mufan's utter lack of knowledge of English makes his joke all the funnier. Haha!!

But with Ballack's header, had he stayed on his line, he would have had an easy save. The header wasnt that strong or even well hit.

For both of them Carvalho was more at fault than Ricardo
