As much as I love Klose's type of player (a bit like a mature Rooney in terms of personality), there is no doubt that Toni is the more talented of the two.

    Cue the Nani jokes...

its a difficult decision.they both score goals by the bucketload.toni though doesnt seem to have much natural ability, hes just a poacher.but klose isnt much better.ill still say toni, never really liked klose

Klose's been playing at the highest levels longer than Toni has and has the better track record, both domestically and internationally. But, based on current form, Toni is ahead.

Both of them are pretty streaky - they can go several games without scoring, and then all of a sudden start lighting it up.

Rhian, the World Cup is not a good indicator of a player's performance. It happens once every four years and there are only 7 games at most which player play in a team in which they are not comfortable...

omg 8O so you really think a guy who just emerged yesterday with Fiorentina is better than a guy who was scoring goals in the time of Brazil's finest Ronaldo and is still scoring goals today....No way podolski starts in front of klose....to tell you how much the germans know who he is!!!

Klose??? Miroslav Klose you all are talking about??? incredible!

I just think that Toni is better as a player today. Looking back on their careers in ten years from today, there is no doubt that Klose will be the happier of the two.

Andrei...the World Cup no matter how long it is is the Greatest football competition in the world...every player's dream is to play in one and moreover to shine in one.....the ultimate dream is to stand on top of the world!!!!

All of the GREATEST PLAYERS made their legend, legendary at the WORLD CUP.
Pele, Maradona,Ronaldo, Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton, Zidane, Cruyff, etc.

Klose is the only player to have scored five or more goals in consecutive World Cups.
Klose has 10 yes 10 World Cup goals!! He is in the company of Ronaldo and Gerd Muller.
Klose has scored in double digits in the Bundesliga for the past 5 seasons!!!!
Klose is 30 and can still probably make Germany's squad in 2 years!!!
Luca Toni is 31 and knowing Italy's fickleness especially after his terrible Euro I don't see him on the squad 2 years from now.

Toni is not better than him now and won't be better than him in the future.

C'mon don't petend you don't know how great Klose is...

klose..... more ability more pace, but just not the main goal scorer he could be a lone man....... but yet again he can play as a supporting striker. toni cant
