    Newcastle United
    GK: Jimmy Lawrence
    RB: Warren Barton
    CB: Bobby Moncur
    CB: Frank Hudspeth
    LB: Alf McMichael
    DM: Rob Lee
    RCM: Noberto Solano
    LCM: Gary Speed
    RW: Jackie Milburn
    CF: Alan Shearer
    LW: Hughie Gallagher

Subs: Shay Given, John Anderson, Frank Clark, Lee Clark, Malcolm Macdonald, Peter Beardsley

Note- Shay Given gets relegated to the bench because he pissed off to Citeh the season we went down.

Notice the common thread? we don't produce 'em like we used to. I've only seen seven of these lads play, Warren Barton, Rob Lee, Nobby Solano, Gary Speed, Alan Shearer, Shay Given and Lee Clark

PS Brazii, Santos really do know how to make forwards don't they. What a quintet of attacking talent

With each of these players in their prime....this team would be unbeatable....true Maka was not at his peak with us but I interpreted this to mean what is the greatest team your club could put out using past players hypothesizing that each would be in his prime...

If so Claude Makalele would definitely be a starter. At their prime, the four I have selected would surely be the best midfielders to ever play for us. The only player in prime form that could arguably displace any of these is Gullit.

I notice you have no Ray Wilkins, Steve Clarke or Micheal Essien in your team Liversea...tsk tsk tsk.....Clarke who made our Centenary XI, Wilkins who was so good he joined the coaching staff and Essien the monster...nuff said about him.

But Dan Petrescu? over Essien? McCreadie over LeSaux and Cashley? think you may have to look over that XI.....

I have Le Saux as a sub, and Cashley I can't include because he once played for the Arse.

i'm far from a chelsea fan but a clubs all time top goalscorer has to be in the starting 11. meaning Essien would be in the middle, Lampard on the right, Zola in behind Osgood and Tambling. Makelele on the bench. as for ashley cole, Chopper harris is chelsea's all time highest appearence maker and was captain. he won the 1970 fa cup and the 1971 European cup winners cup. so for that reason combined with the fact that i hate ashley cole, harris would start for me.

i wasnt sure exactly where in defence he played but during his time at chelsea, around 19 years i think, he must have learned how to play on the left.

he has been at the club for 2 years,he cant be judged as greater than rush or fowler yet.wait til he scores a hattrick in 4 and a half minutes and then he can be called better than fowler

You don't have to know lots of chords to play songs that matter
