I think mine would have to be Paolo Maldini, stuck with that same club his whole career while continuing to play to an exceptional level throughout, I can only dream to be as great as him...

I got two inspirational footballers:
1. Dennis "the iceman" Bergkamp, always so level headed composed and elegant no matter what he was doing. The iceman is the pinnacle of a footballing professional.2. The maestro of the midfield and the greatest player since the days of Pele and Maradona, Im talking of course of Zidane. A footballer that never let the fame get to him. Did his job for club and country, retired in his national shirt in a world cup final. And most importantly stood up for what he believed even if it meant getting sent off on the grandest stage the world has to offer

as for attackers, gotta be joaquin.he is my fav player so naturally im gonna admire him a lot.my style is fairly similar to his too

Nobby Stiles was a defencive midfielder of awesome fierceness. 5'6" and the real leader of the England team which won the World Cup in 1966. If anyone on his team wasn'tup for the job that day, he would give them a boot up the arse and stay right in their face. His family were the undertakers in Collyhurst, which was seven blocks from my street in Chorlton-on-Medlock. Even today the Nob is still a lovely man who'll talk to anybody. He was the only major player on that world cup winning team who wasn't knighted. Why? Because he was a devout Roman Catholic. Times are different now, they say, but he still hasn't been knighted. I was a shrimp of a kid, but a really good fiesty little midfielder and, whenever he saw me play for Manchester Boys he would take the time to big me up.
I STILL MISS NOBBY & BOBBY!!! -

My dad was his boxing coach at Holy Name. I'd be lying if I said I 'knew' him, but he's one of those guys who always had time for kids and people from the neighbourhood..

RONALDO outside of pele, maradona, and zizou, no one even comes close to him. Imagine if he never got that injury...god what a player, maldini, kaka, and rojerio ceni all remind me of loyalty, but, ronaldo inspired me the most.

to me, (outside of Luca Toni) Berba is the most overated center forward on the planet, i could name 15 center forwards that are better then him, he doesn't run, so to me, he's useless
