United don't like doing their business in a blaze of publicity. They have their targets and I'm sure work is taking place at present to bring those guys to Old Trafford.
Interest has been expressed in Roque Santa Cruz. Is he a better bet than a fit Louis Saha? Is SAF going to give Saha one final chance - now he's "fit" and will have a full pre-season?
Other deals may not be able to be finalised until the end of the Euros because national team managers do not want their players distracted by contract negotiations while they remain in such an important competition.
I'm not a great believer in buying players on the back of seeing them in one successful international competition. United have done so in the past and often it hasn't worked; Porborsky and Kleberson are two which come to mind. It's the players who have been watched for weeks and months and assessed as suitable for United (in terms of temperament and skill) that should be pursued.
So, be wary about calling for United to sign guys who are basically unknown in this country but shine over the next 2 weeks. It could be "a flash in the pan".
