Every team is on the verge of signing a top class player this summer. And what's manu doing. Three of their prospective signings are already taken or almost taken like bosingwa, alves, deco. So, when will ManU make a good move towards gaining any player next season????????????

julian Dicks is everywhere. It's like they've got eleven Dicks on the field.

United don't like doing their business in a blaze of publicity. They have their targets and I'm sure work is taking place at present to bring those guys to Old Trafford.

Interest has been expressed in Roque Santa Cruz. Is he a better bet than a fit Louis Saha? Is SAF going to give Saha one final chance - now he's "fit" and will have a full pre-season?

Other deals may not be able to be finalised until the end of the Euros because national team managers do not want their players distracted by contract negotiations while they remain in such an important competition.

I'm not a great believer in buying players on the back of seeing them in one successful international competition. United have done so in the past and often it hasn't worked; Porborsky and Kleberson are two which come to mind. It's the players who have been watched for weeks and months and assessed as suitable for United (in terms of temperament and skill) that should be pursued.

So, be wary about calling for United to sign guys who are basically unknown in this country but shine over the next 2 weeks. It could be "a flash in the pan".

I did hear a rumour about Guillermo Ochoa, who I've seen a few vids of and looks pretty special, so I'm hopeful we can bring him in and show Tommy K the door.
Other than that I don't see us spending anywhere near as much as recent summers, unless Ronaldo leaves, which I am sure will result in a panic buy of 3 or 4 players to fill that void, wiping out whatever large sum we get for him. If he goes, I expect we'll try for Ben Arfa, Aguero, and possibly Quaresma.

I cant see Ronaldo going anywhere, purely because without the green light from the Glazers or Fergie he cant. Giggs has retired, so there is a void in the wings, especially when the only others besides Ron are Park, who is a good player but not a great player, and Nani who cant cut it in big matches and is at the stage Ronaldo was three years ago... when United won nothing. Ribery would be an ideal signing, but he'd be expensive and is tied into Munich so perhaps Quaeresma or one of Fergies hidden gems. We need some one to play in front of Rooney and/or Tevez which Saha can do when fit, but how often canw e say that. Santa Cruz is an outstanding player, and United have been linked with Benzema, a class act who i think we should sign, but who is not suited to that van nistelroy type role. Huntlaar has been linked and could do the job nicely. I heard a link somewhere between United and Micah Richards, who is like Wes Brown but better. Would be a good investment. With the 5o Million Fergies got though there may only be a couple coming in if that. Im thinking

    Ribery
    Benzema
    Huntlaar/Santa Cruz
    Richards

2 out of the 5 is possible on his budget

Fergie is desperate for height and strength up front. Santa Cruz fits the bill and will want to stay at United as long as he can.

A younger striker is also needed. The problem with Benzema is that he wants to play in Spain. I'm sick of players who want to go and play in Spain. If that's really his attitude, United should forget about him.

Don't know how good Huntelaar really is. Does he have the physical strength for the EPL?

Mark Hughes will be desperate to keep Micah Richards. I'd be very surprised if City let one of their best young players go.

Eto'o also good for United to buy...if the offers suit Micah Richards,he maybe go OUT from Manchester City...
Here are my lists/targets for summer signings:
    1. Klass Jan Huntelaar
    2. Sergio Aguero
    3. Micah Richards
    4. Joaquin
    5. Ochoa
    6. Daniel Guiza
    7. Roque Santa Cruz

I think 4 out of 7 maybe successful...

It is rumoured that Berbatov is back in the frame: see http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/manchester_united/article4087649.ece

Like Ronaldo before him, Nani will improve over the next couple of years. Then when he's an outstanding player of world repute he'll tell us how much he wants to play for Madrid "one day" soon!

It's about time United developed another special home-grown player. I hope that Danny Welbeck is the real deal. If he is, we know that he'll want to stay at United for most of his career.

SAF should strike another striker off his transfer list. Apparently Berbatov, like Benzema, has indicated that he would like to go to Madrid. I wouldn't waste time on trying to bring players to United unless - like Rooney - they really want to play for United.

If United are really interested in Santa Cruz they'll have to move quickly. Arsenal are now reported to be going for him and hope to hijack any sale to United as they did with Ramsey.

That might depend on whether you can hold on to Adebayor.

From buying strikers who are 'loving Spain'...it's good to buy strikers from England itself...

There is a difference between "I want to go now & play (ahem, earn more money) for a facist club!" & "I will play in the future in my home club but right now my heart is in London".

Anyways I heard ManU completed 1 summer signing. I am not too sure but I'll let you guys comment on that.

man utd can win de league next season without any signings being made but we need ronaldo 4 dat..i think if we are goin 2 buy sum players we shud try:
    David Villa
    Benzema(wub b brill)
    Lucas Podolski
    Roque Santa Cruz
Sergio Ramos(already speculation)..but if we get a top class striker de question is who do we drop,i wudnt like 2 make dat decision...people say dat Nani is a shite player nd all dat but it was his first season in de premier league at de age of 20 i wudnt expect it dat soon, ronaldo didnt do it in his 1st season either so we jst have 2 be patient wit him,we have already seen sum flashes of Nani's class towards Feb and March..he will b gud...i tink we shud b gud jst 2 buy 1 striker nd dats it coz our team is already world class nd we dnt want de team 2 stop jellin from soo many new signings...Benzema r David Villa wud b my number 1 targets but it prob wnt happen soo take santa cruz..pure clss........ :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I would love to see some young Dutch talent come in this summer.....Sneijder would be a dream signing, consiedering that Scholes will make fewer starts this season since he's getting older. If we decide to let Saha go, we should definitely get Huntelaar, Villa or Benzema. Getting a striker who's a goal scoring machine would definitely help us, as it would take pressure off Ronaldo's shoulders to replicate last seasons performance, as well as reduce our reliance on him as a source for goals, in case he makes a move in the future.
