Sure, Man Utd. have lionized certain players, and they all happen to be white. However, I don't think that phenomenon is limited to Man Utd. Look at Chelsea's top players, for instance. John Terry and Frank Lampard are idolized by the fans. Ballack, Joe Cole, Deco, Cech, Carvalho. All white. Meanwhile, Ashley Cole is a fairly controversial figure (at least among the British media), Drogba has a lot of detractors, and Anelka has had more bad press than the two of them combined.

my explaination for that is when cantona first came, utd were far from title contender. they were like liverpool now. and cantona won us the title straght away...and got ban for kicking the daylight of that "cunt" fan...when he came back from the ban he won us the title again with "kids". plus he scored penty of goals against liverpool and thats cantona, and what i call impact.
cole have stay at utd the longest out of these players, but his impact was nowhere near cantona. saf bought him for a record 7m, because he scored shit lots for the toons, but he struggled at utd...until cantona came...and he won us treble...and sold to blackburn. but in terms of entertainment and impact he was nowhere near king eric, since we bought him for 7m we expect the goods back, unlike the 1.5m paid to bring cantona
when yorke came utd already have a title winning team, but he pushed us further to win the treble...but he was only there for 5 year and like cole he was signed with a big transfer fee...
as for ince, he had a good partnership with robson and later keane, but he played a big part in liverpool as well...hence he was stripe of his legendary status and banish into nothingness...
here you see cantona is the greatest legend out all these players (with ole not far behind)
as for man utd being raist...evra is loved as much as ronaldo how can anyone claim that! i for one wouldnt care less if a black guy (welback) or a white guy (rooney) or a korean guy (park) scored for utd or play well... and i am sure saf would care less about the colour of the guy as long as he has still awesome skills.
