I was at that game, right there when he got spit in his eye and knocked Hamrin out with a single punch. A real Gorbals kiss! Except for Bobby Noble, Johnny Fitzpatrick was United's best right back ever. He tacked like a ton of bricks and was really really quick. Fitz used to execute the best one-twosies with Willie Morgan or Besty ever! Johnny Giles (and the rest of his Leeds United crew of thugs) may have destroyed more careers than any other player before or since. Probably the best right back Scotland ever produced and really he was a converted midfielder.

I STILL MISS NOBBY & BOBBY!!!

Liverpool had a couple of real thugs in Smith and Souness but Revie's whole Leeds team were all leg-breakers. Johnny Giles may be a gentleman off the pitch, but he took no prisoners on it.
