noooooooooooo, his legs just spontaneously give way. It's a common disease in football and he, along with Gerrard are the flag bearers.

Did anyone notice how MoTD showed Ronaldo's yellow card dive but didn't show Gerrard's a few weeks ago?

Ronaldo deserved to be booked for his dive against Blackburn. However, he has a point when he asks why Morten Gamst Pedersen wasn't booked for his dive in the box. I actually thought that one was much worse.

have anyone realise ronaldo rarely dives in the area (and often anywhere else) and has only dived sucessful once to get a penalty and that was against boro in 2006...whereas gerrard have got pool a good number of pens, even in cl final with his diving, but no one brought that up.

yet people like Ghostwriter always come up in says ronaldo is a diver, a cheating cunt, blah, blah, blah, blah, but nothing about gerrard, or even their own player like pires, kanu, and henry in the past and eboue, bentner and adebayor in present time...hypocrites if you ask me...

    Steven Gerrard, the hypocrite

Surely you jest, Duonomono! Ronaldo has never been the brightest spoon in the cutlery drawer. You would have thought he'd have learned from a professional like Figo, but the lad never changes. My poor dead grandmother could dive better when she was chasing little me around the living room swinging a sewing machine strap. She was a West Ham fan. They had Johnny Sissons, Ronnie Boyce and Martin Peters: All really fantastic divers.

I STILL MISS NOBBY & BOBBY!!!

Yo vian_siu there's a difference between going down easy a diving. There are some players who take a tumble easy under a challange but that is not illegal by the letter of the law. CR goes to ground without contact, and in the immortal words of Eric Cantona: "the deepest pits in footballing hell are reserved for divers", he's a cheating scum. no two ways about it...

so saints like pires, eboue, lehmann and henry never dived then? still no one admits players like gerrard, henry and rooney who claims they will never dive have done it, instead you just go after easy target like ronaldo. like i said you are those hypocrites i am talking about. just admit it everyone does it not just ronaldo, dont single out an individual before admiting players in your own team does it.

Pires was a FANTASTIC diver! Credit where credit is due. Pires never made contact with anybody! Eboue is thick like Ronaldo, so he's a no-hoper! Henry dive? That's blasphemy. Keith Hackett never crossed David Dein! Henry never dived because nobody was allowed to tackle him.

vian_siu read all my posts on this thread, not once did i say Gerrard and Henry have never dived in their career. The fact is they have but CR is a very talented, cheating scum bastard, who dives at almost every opportunity. Its the truth an just because he's part of your club dosent change the fact.

And dont think im only hating cause im a gunner, the majority of football fans in the world agree with me. So face the facts he's a cheating scum, just like drogba

Drogba doesnt win penalties, so why does it matter. If Ronaldo is not a diver, then who is these days?

Consider the fact that Ronaldo gets fouled more than any other player in Europe. Now consider how many times he's been injured. I think that while his antics are infuriating at times, it works as a defense mechanism.

As an attacking player playing at a high level, if you do not take your feet off the ground when a hard tackle is coming in or contact has been made, you become susceptible to injury. You do not want your foot to be planted when studs come in at your ankle or shin (Eduardo, anyone?).

I hate divers, but being a Manchester United supporter, I no longer fault Ronaldo for it because I think it has kept him on the field and off the injury list.

EVERYBODY knows Dunn is a windup artist *unt of the first degree. Did you see any Blackburn player protest? No doubt that Ronnie kicked him and no argument that Ronnie is an amateurish diver, but the referees all know about Dunn and his M.O. Is he on Blackburn's starting team for his plethora of breathtaking skills?

Ronaldo definatly gets tackled more then any player on the pitch.. so if i were a defender and you think about putting a leg out you know for a fact that he is gonna go down, and if the ref is not in a decent position to see the dive it goes as a foul against you and possibly a yellow card depending where on the pitch it happened.

so is it now kind of a tactic to makes defenders scared to tackle you?? it means that he can do a lot more runs and if the run is impossible hit the ground!!

That being said i only like to see diving if it wins my team a penalty :) haha
