Arsenal have in the recent past been critisied of not fielding any Englishmen in the starting line-up. In fact Arsenal is the only top 4 club that always seems to be headed for doom as told by the English press. I hope to ease you fears by giving you a sneak-peak at your England Squad for the 2014 World Cup coming in from the best Youth Academy in Britain, yes that is right, Arsenal! Shocking isn't it??

    1. KEIRAN GIBBS - He is a left winger, primarily, who made his surprise debut against Inter Milan in the Emirates Cup last year and got a standing ovation from the crowd for his fearless performance. He started as a left back against Sheffield United in the League Cup 3rd round and played a superb, splitting pass for Eduardo to score. He was then loaned out to Norwich City where he excelled as a central midfielder. In the final reserve game of the season, he scored a spectacular solo goal from the centre of midfield in the last minute. Wenger rates him very highly.

    2. MARK RANDALL - He can play anywhere in the midfield and almost grabbed himself a goal against Sunderland in the final game of the season. He's a player with style, grace and has a "strong tackling side" to him as well. Another one to look out for.

    3. JACK WILSHERE - He has been lighting up the Under 18s and Reserve leagues with his goals and is sure to do the same next year in the Carling Cup. He is a tricky winger, with loads of skill and pace and has another great quality which people are looking for at Arsenal these days - he's English! He's an Under 17 international and at 16, he can only improve with the first team. Wenger has suggested that he will be involved with the first team squad next year.

    4. HENRI LANSBURY - Sounds French, non? But, he is yet another English talent who has featured regularly for the England Under 17s team. He is in the mould of Mark Randall but is more attacking in his style of play. He is a quick mover and has a very good shot on him as well. Wenger is going to induct the 17 year old Henri into the first team squad next year as well.

Looks like there is a good future ahead for Arsen...England football team. Yes indeed.

One more player I simply must mention even though he is not English is Fransico Merida, or as many said, Cesc Fabregas II. He can play on the left side of midfield and centrally as well. He is tricky and has great, quick feet. Fran Merida is also nothing like Fabregas - he is a direct player and isn't so much of a passer. After a loan spell with Real Sociedad, he is sure to come back to Arsenal as a rejuvenated youngster with some experience next season. He is 17 years old.

Impresive. Here is what Manchesert United has to offer to England's national team fo the future:

Frazier Campbell - anybody who watches the Chmapionship knows about this guy. He is currently on loan at Hull (who are in the playoffs) where he has scored 14 goals and made 6 assists in 35 appearances. In the first leg of the playoff semi-final he made two assists on Hull's two goals. He is just like Rooney in that he is smart, fast and very strong, but he has a hard time finishing. He looks very bringht for the future.

Danny Simpson - at 20, he was not able to assert himself as first choice right-back ahead of Wes Brown, be he did make several appearances for the first team. Not many stats to show him off, but he is a bombing right-back who has an eye for a smart play and he can defend too. Looks a lot like Patrice Evra, but his crossing ability seems to be much better. Hopefully he stays at the club because he has tons of talent and potential.

Danny Wellbeck - I have seen too little of him, but here is another in-the-hole striker. At 17, Ferguson thinks that he is worthy of a place in the Man Utd squad and he was promoted from the U18. He found himself on the bench on a few occasions, but never made it onto the pitch. A shame. He sounds like a real talent and from what we have seen of him, he really looks good too.

Fabien Brandy - I saw this kid play at the U19 Club World Championships last year as a 17 year old and the impression that he gave me was: bring him into the first team! He can play wide and as a centre forward, he is quite small but has tons of pace and skill. He is also similar to Rooney with smart flick-ons and intelligent passes - really good vision.

There is competition for 'the best academy in Britain'; these are players which surely will make it to the Premier League with other clubs if not Manchester United just because they have the quality to be amazing and if they are not amazing enough for United, then they will be amazing enough for somebody else.

    Cue the Nani jokes...

Mancienne is a fan favourite in QPR and was voted young player of the year, he has played for all youth England teams under 16,17,19,21.

Jak Cork is wanted by Newcastle and West Ham, he also has played alongside Mancienne in under 16.17,19,21. He has captained the Chelsea youth team couple of times. His first appearance for the first team was last summer against Club America of Mexico.

Liam Bridcutt is known as Maka number 2.

As for Ryan Bertrand, he played for under 17 and under 19.

Again Jimmy Smith played for under 16,17,19. Mourinho played him in the last game of the season.

Woods played for under 16 and in played in the Under 17 World Cup, he made his first team appearance at age 16 replcing Lampard and since has 2 appearances for chelsea, both in the Fa cup.

I am going to disregard chelsea for now till XerxesK can bring in more info about the players, their style of play etc.

As for ManU, well that is 3 strikers and 1 defender. I undersatnd the defender, but does ManU really have room for 3 strikers. Plus if they do decide to leave ManU, surely that is a BIG step backward for their careers. Cause going from ManU to another premiership side outside the top 4 is like going from a Roller to a Ford.

Well, some of them make it and some of them do nor. C'est la vie. I am sure that not all of the other names mentioned by you and XerxesK will make it in your respective first teams...

well of course not andrei, personally other then Mancienne, Sinclair, Hutchinson and Cork I dont think the rest have a chance to be in the first 11. Great players like Ben-Haim, Pizzaro and Sidwell didnt make it.

Well considering how Wenger prefers to use his youngsters espcially in the league cup and FA Cup first rounds, most of them will see first team action. I believe most of them will make it because they are Arsenal's second squad.

I truly agree with fosterfirst....Arsenal are a great team with a bunch of world class players...so the second squad players will be on trouble to be in the first team...

mufan's utter lack of knowledge of English makes his joke all the funnier. Haha!!

The top four premiership teams have lots of great English youngsters coming through, but even though they are very good that is just not good enough for a top four team.
Therefore you will continue to see Man Utd/Chelsea/Arsenal/Liverpool buying players from abroad who are already international class.
None of the above clubs can afford to blood youngsters on a regular basis anymore as they cannot afford to drop points in what is the top league in the world.
These kids inevitably end up going out on loan to gain experience, and very rarely ever end up back at the parent club.
They are good enough for mid table/lower half of the Premiership or the Championship but sad to say that the vast majority will never make the grade in the 21st century Premiership.
