i wish mexico could at least get past the round of 16, if they go on playin like this they probly wont get past the group stage... as for the us i think theyll flop like in 06. I think the final will be spain vs brazil

well erm, my country is like ranked 100 over in the world and if we are in the WC tourney itself, it is as good as Brazil winning the WC.

i hope the world cup was earlier... this generation is the strongest egypt has had ever.. they achieved what the national team never had done before... but now most of them are getting to old and they cant hack it in the egyptian league anymore..:( i think we'll make it to the group stage and be somewhat annoying to some big teams but nothing more

Well my team has pretty much guarateed their place at the world cup already, however I don't see Australia getting past the group stages lihe they did in 06'. Every qualifying match they've played so far has been boring and they've been gifted any of the goals they've scored.

spain obviously the favourites....
im english but live in south africa.and i really dnt see any hope for bafana bafana...as it stands dnt think they would beat the weakest in the tournament...not a good side...best player pienaar! not good enough

Netherlands have an average squad
Argentine have a great squad but a shit coach
Brazil more or less has the same problem.
Italy has a shit squad but a great coach.

Australia have proven themselves on the world stage as a powerful side, ranked 16. Im not saying we will win, but i have a feeling we can get to quarters if we get a good draw.

well they do need abit of luck too. quite unlucky against Italy in 2006. and this is Australia's best team at the moment. by 2014, Cahill and co. might be a lil' too old.

If Portugal can qualify from from a pretty weak group .. which im starting to worry they wont... then i have them up for the semi finals.. as much as people hate them i think they'll pull it together, and i hope they play that semi in capetown so i can see them... also hoping bafana bafana can do well...

I was supporting Portugal back in 2006, but i guess i might ditch them this round. they tend to rely alot on Ronaldo since their strikers are getting old, something like Italy.
