My heart is saddened by the deaths at Hillsborough and I offer my respects to those affected.

However I’m angered by the manipulation of the media and the picture of Liverpool Football Club and their current Fans as the sad victims of this tragedy, and them having a totally blameless role in it. Liverpool and their Fans have a chequered past with a history dishonoured with two of the worst football tragedies in history.

One of which resulted in the banning, of all English clubs from European football for 5 years, Liverpool for a further 3, of which, for some reason they only served 1.

The Heysel Stadium Disaster deaths of 39
39 victims, 39 football fans died in the incident, 32 Italian fans of Juventus FC, and 4 Belgians, 2 French and an Irishman.

God Bless to the victims and their family’s of the Hillsborough and Heysel disaster, but shame on the club and the media for the disrespectful veneration of these events, which over time have been manipulated and spun into something lacking the true sentiment of the tragedy.

The Hillsborough disaster should not be reported to positively reflect any honour or character upon Liverpool FC and their current Fans, but should more importantly be to remember and pay tribute to the sad loss of life. However Liverpool Football Club and the media are intent on portraying the Club as the victims hurt by private loss, when in fact it should be the victims and there family’s who gain our love, respect and heartfelt condolences. Not Liverpool Football Club.

I echo your sentiments. Those people were unjustly slaughtered and I'm currently watching the memorial and all I'm hearing is that the Internet and journalists are out to get them. I've lost count the amount of times I've seen Liverpool fans talk about Munich like it was a fairground that they all went and enjoyed. A memorial should be solely about remembering the unsuspecting victims not looking for people to blame.

When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.
