hey.Im sort of new to the game. Can you veterans please help me by answering the following
1)My assistant manager keeps saying that we should tighten the gap b/w midfield and defence. How do i do that?Should i play my DM deeper?
2)If a player is misplacing too many passes what can i do to correct that?
3)What is the best way to make my team play better..if they aren't playing well at all
4)Are the patches any good?
5)Should i interfere in training,or let the staff handle it?

1 my assistance keep saying that as well, but i choose to ignore it and go all out attack. but if you want the dm to play deeper, just change his mentality more defensive, or change the backline to play deeper.
2 change the player and/or team to short passing, if these lot are good enough, they will keep the ball well.
3 try changing the line-up. but its really all depending on morle, there is nothing a win cant fix.
4 not much difference except transfer
5 i do my own training, and i have players in different position doing their own training

Well basically if you have your defenders playing deep or on all out defend and your midfielders playing forward there's going to be a gap. Basically you just tighten it

1 - Push the defence up. usually happens on a long pitch - there if you push the defence up make sure that you have fast defenders who can track back if the opposition start playing long balls.
2 - Get the player to play shorter passes and/or slower tempo
3 - Play your best team (not your best XI) together for a while without excessive rotation, and focus on playing to their strengths (weak teams - work harder to defend and counterattack, strong teams - work harder at controlling the game through passing).
4 - Yup.
5 - Customised training for positions (strikers, attacking midfielders, wingers, defenders, fullbacks, goalkeepers, defensive midfielders).
