maybe we should move our discussions on it to this thread? Anyway no (legal) way of getting it for free. If I'm honest I would advise you to steer clear of it. It's very easy to become addicted and it just eats the hours away

I think you can get it for free. I see on SkySports that whenever some guy suggests a young talent in Sky's "Scout Reports", they award them with a copy of FM09.

completely above expectations. The team's ratings are totally over the top. I finished 2nd in the league, won the UEFA cup(beat Valencia in the QF  -Villa got sent off 20 mins in and I walked it) and the league cup. The 2 goals in the UEFA cup final were absolute classics. Leighton Baines (what a player) scored a belter and Vaughan scored a beautiful chip to win in the 82nd minute

I sold Lescott to Chelsea for £20m and bought some defender from the Congo and I think that guy from Inter that you were talking about. I'm trying to buy a LB/LM but I can't find anyone good enough, Madrid bought Guardado. Altidore is looking like quite the player along with Zuculini

im still waiting to start my 2nd league campaign, afraid to try it when hammered :D

got some awful CL group though.chelsea,fener,monaco.the board want me to get to the quarters AT LEAST.im just not ready for it,the squad needs fine tuning, and i have to challenge for the title.zapata needs to be world class,i risked a lot signing him

ah feck,i just remembered i forgot to move for zuculini,my scout even recommended him to me!

you have to get in early. I got him for £400k and 6 months later his value is £2m. Altidore needs to work on his finishing but the amount of chances he gets is unreal. His goals won a few crucial games but he is very inconsistent

I'm yet to see my group for the CL. Hopefully i'll be a 2nd seed but i'm not optimistic

No not really. I have plenty of talented youngsters like Vaughan, Rodwell and Baxter so there's no real need for me to buy young English players for too much money although I do scout the U-18s and got one guy off Pompey I think with 5 star potential for 1.7m. The stupid thing is that I got a foreigner with 5 star potential off them a few months earlier for 500k. I do have a fair few English players in my squad though

Have you set up your team for corners? I made an absolute killing by putting Yobo on challenge GK. I had Lescott attacking the ball from deep and I got something like 15 goals from corners with the closest other team only getting 9

dont start on corners,my team just cannot defend them, although we do get a few from attacking them.but even with players on the posts, and my CB's marking the tallest players,we just concede way too many from them

    i have loads of spanish players-asenjo,javi martinez,albelda,alexis,marchena,raul albiol,del horno,sunny,joaquin,vicente,david silva,villa,morientes.it keeps the morale high i think

the academy can be excellent, when i played as united there were plenty of youngsters coming through.nothing so far with valencia though :(

Yeah in my 2nd season some 16 year old CM joined with 5 star potential. The thing is that I probably won't play the game for long enough for him to develop. Vaughan scored 20 goals in something like 39 appearances and he's only 21 so he's a guaranteed starter. The thing I have to decide on is whether to play Yakubu or Altidore with him. Altidore is 19 and on the same level of stars as Yakubu but Yakubu is a much better finisher. Baines is amazing. The amount of goals scored from LB is unreal. He gets forward so well. Neville has done a good job on the right but is getting on. I now have a concrete CB pairing since I sold Lescott but now I've no cover at LB

i had that problem, luckily fergie loaned out fabio to me on the last day of the window.i hate finding young stars that end up to be unambitious or they dont develop enough.had it alot at united, but then found a brilliant DM,worth 5m as soon as he signed his pro contract

do you know of any good young keepers?i only know of asenjo

I got a couple of Italians. For one I had a scout report from a year previous that had him at 7 stars in the potential but when I signrd him he was only 3  anyway he was only 250k so i signed him anyway. I got another guy Fiorrini or something like that for 1.7m who again was 5 stars in the potential report but 4 when I got him but that's ok. The bad thing is that I sold Turner, my backup keeper and then Howard got injured playing for the US so I have to use a young keeper at the start of the season. Madrid are in for Howard now but I told them to fuck off

hi bro.. just wanna join this interesting thread. I like Joe Mattock on left back. He's good. as for keeper, there are oscar ustari, sergio arias and also fiorillo from sampdoria. striker, my favourite is Salvatori Foti. He can get loads of goals for my team =)

Btw, any suggestion for a wonderful formation? a tip maybe? =)

i try a 4-2-3-1,with the player in the hole having a free role and always supporting the striker, and just one of the deeper midfielders acting as a DM

thanks for the keeper tips btw

i finally finish my first season with utd after joining them from jan from mk dons in 2016 (surely no-one, include myself can suggest me any real player by then), i managed to pull a 7th place utd to 2nd, only to lose the title by a point (how piss poor is and computer...) and won the fa cup by crushing west brom 5-2 in the final.

and now i am looking to rebuild the team. i signed a 21 yr old regen alan shearer equal with good pace for 20m and a 23 yr old weaken version of kaka regen for 3.3m before the year finish. i still got some big ideas to rebuild this team and i am looking forward to see my tranfer budget hopefully i should get at least 60m because i need it (i need 2 full backs and one world-class creative passing cm like xavi or scholes, and ffs and they dont come cheap)

You Never Walk Alone! Because there is always a scouse cunt ready to rob ya!

this is what i play, and won the cl with mk dons:

    -----1
    2--5---6--3
    ---8---4---
    7--------11
    ---10--9---

i have the team mentality on just attacking, slight more often on closing down and shortest passing with increased tempo (not to max, other wise your team will give the ball away very often).

7, 11 and 10 rotating their positions (i had 7 to swap with 11, 11 to swap with 10, and 10 to swap with 7) and play off 9 (this is the most important player when the team is losing, who must be very strong in the air so you and long ball away when chasing a goal or two) who is a saha type striker (fast, strong in the air, works hard, runs the channel and finish well). all these players except 9 on free role, short passing and often though ball

i also have the full back going toward as much as possible and 8 and 5 as well, who must be very good passer (especially 8, because he is a free roles as well and max creative freedom), and 4 and 6 to stay back.

i try to build the team around an ambition and determin mentiality (always look at the player's personality first, they are just as important as the stats, try to go for the restilant and determined type)

and high work rate, team work and technique (and passing!!) are the most important stat, and slightly above average pace will do (except wide player, who must have lighting pace). this is actually my mentiality of prefect football team.
