Hello, I am semi regular member of this forum. A while back Ahmed posted a link to my site that I was setting up - FootballFilter.com. Back then it was pretty weak idea and we have made some massive changes to it - I was wondering what you guys thought, if you would use it and what suggestions you would make to make it better. Its basically like a pop urls for football but the big difference is we also have each category as its own section (like blogs, videos, podcasts, team specific pages) and we maintain our images at flickr and our videos at daily motion and youtube so every couple of days there are new vid and pictures to look at.

Anyway, hopefully this posting is deemed to be breaking the rules. Please let me know what you think!

the team specific pages arent finished yet but if you have a particular request let me know!

I'll take it for a test run tonight while doing my transfer round-up and I will let you know tomorrow. Just by looking at it, I get the impression it is a really cool site.

    Cue the Nani jokes...

thanks Andrei! - any feed back will be great - obviously you will notice some of the teams (well almost all of them!) are missing and a few of the pages are a bit scruffy but you get the idea!

OUr blog will be conneted to it soon too - http://blog.footballfilter.com

    Sorry Ben, just got up.

Anyway, the site is quite awesome, but there was one tiny detail which bugged me: when you click the links, the page opens in the same window. If you could get it to open in a new tab or window by default, that will be wicked.

Also, the little description of the artile is very useful.

Thanks Andrei - sorry i wansnt trying to pressure you - was hoping some other people might see my posting and take a look and give comments - glad to see you like it tho, thanks! Heres our Man Utd specific page by the way - I am guessing you are Man U fan by the fact you have a dirty Ruud photo as your profile photo, :-) . Heres the link:

    http://www.footballfilter.com/manchester-united.php

As for the windows opening up in a new tab - yes that will defo be done, that was one of my biggest requirements too, its interesting to see how some people ask for that and some people dont want it - but yeah we are working on features like that. WE are also working on providing 2,3 or 4 columns of sources too - so if 4 is too many you can have 3 instead - but all these little things will be a work in progress - as will the team specific pages - we only have 3 teams done so far - Derby, Chelsea and Man Utd!

Anyway thanks for the feedback I hope you continue to use it - let us know if you find out anything you like/dont like, likewise to anyone else reading this. cheers!

In case anyone is interested, footballfilter.com now has a poll on the homepage asking which team pages we should make next- the options are just premiership teams at the moment which obvioulsy wont suit everyones tastes so if your choice team is not on there and you would like to have a team page set up give me an email at footballfilter@gmail.com and i'll put it on the to do list. At the moment Arsenal is the preferred team to do next but I have also been requested an Oxford page and a Birmingham City so you can see I'm open to any team whatever the preference.

    cheers!

glad you like it! Unfortunately the Chelsea page is a little out of date if you compare it to the Man U and Derby and Arsenal pages. We need to get back on that one and add the superfluous amount of links its missing. Like i said, glad you like it, let me know if you have any suggestions or anything!

Dreaming in this thread too rhian? Wonder what the missus will say when you talk about conquering Mars and come back home dragging a squirrel that died from laughing at John Terry :D

Hmmmm....you have a lot of jokes there....
We'll see how funny it is when we take it all this year and you are forced to change your badge.

IN FACT...THIS IS A BET...A DARE...CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT
BUT I CHALLENGE ALL MANu FANS TO PUT THEIR AVATAR IN SOCCERLENS ON THE LINE.

IF CHELSEA WIN THE LEAGUE YOU MUST ALL CHANGE YOUR AVATARS TO CHELSEA SIGNS FOR A TWO WEEKS ON SOCCERLENS...AND NOTHING DISRESPECTFUL,

BUT IF MANU WINS...I WILL CHANGE MINE TO A MANU AVATAR...FOR A MONTH!
