    Barca - Real

Probably the biggest sports rivalry in the World. Goes way beyond the sport itself, to the times of Franco, etc.

Barcelona looks unstoppable but you never know with Real. They might just surprise.

barca cannot be seen as the best club in europe(which arguably they currently are) if they dont beat real this weekend.not only are barca in imperious form, real are in terrible form and crippled with injuries.3-0 to barca is not an unlikely result.my prediction too

You don't have to know lots of chords to play songs that matter

3-0? That is what they did last season. The way Real is playing now, it will be 5-0 at best for Los Blancos. Revenge is sweet!! Take that, Calderon, you thieving, cunning, conniving, lying little son of a shagging stray dog!! Get Ronaldo eh? Give Robinho eh? COMON BARCA show these buggers what football is all about. Comon Messi, Henry, Xavi Eto'o send them into the ground and Schuster and Calderon back where they came from - under their mothers' respective skirts!! Come on Puyol, Alves, Marquez, Yaya, show that pussy Cannavaro how defending is done and after he will concede 5 this weekend maybe he will learn - or maybe he is too stupid!!

    Come on BARCELONA!!

    Cue the Nani jokes...

Especially when Messi is in 'El Classico',he will add more 'spice into the cook'...

mufan's utter lack of knowledge of English makes his joke all the funnier. Haha!!

I dunno if celtic/rangers is bigger Duffman, I think you're a tad biased there...Barca/Real is more internationally known...

Meanwhile, anyone who says "Barca is going to kill Real" and blah blah Calderon blah blah honestly shouldnt say anything because they have so many injuries, its not even a match. And don't be like, its revenge, cus until you guys win the league and beat them full strength, it doesn't mean ANYTHING...

and the funny thing is, I'm not even a Real fan...

What? I didn't foul him, I just nudged him a bit

Barca: Guardiola does not trust Schuster

Cautious words by FC Barcelona coach.
Schuster said that his team stands no chance in El Clasico.
Ain`t it weird to say that for his own team? (despite all the injuries thay have).

Just re-read my comment, um... that was wild. Anyway I meant to say that I want Real to be played off the pitch on Saturday.

As for derbies, here are my favourites:

    1. Real Madrid - Barcelona
    2. River plate - Boca Juniors
    3. Rangers - Celtic
    4. Inter Milan - AC Milan
    5. Ajax - PSV

    Currently i predict a 2-0 to Barca scoreline ... Juventus 2 Milan 1

    1 - Real Madrid v Barcelona
    2 - Boca Juniors v River Plate
    3 - Celtic v Rangers
4 - Galatasaray v Fenerbahce --> Surprise this wasnt brought up
5 - Ajax v Feyenoord --> This more heated then Ajax/PSV, due the fact Feyenoord mock Ajax Jewish background

glend, can i just ask if you have watched an old firm match?

real dont stand a chance.the defence is all over the place, all of the defenders are playing useless, including casillas and barcas attack has never been stronger.only one outcome really

Actually Man Utd - Liverpool is HUGE in Romania - more so than the Inter-AC derby and keep in mind that in Romania, Italian football is king. It is also quite big in Canada: got in a fight this September...

    haha,you so crazy!

the united-liverpool derby is big in ireland too, especially where i live where its pretty much divided between united and liverpool fans.the only other club that has a big enough support is leeds.but the rivalry between the supporters is big in a few european countries.obviously some countries dont understand though

    Hey Duff,

I have seen all sorts of Old Firm matches, I'm just saying that for me, one game isn't as important than the whole season. Its like beating the crap out of someone on the ground, not exactly difficult...Not even a challenge in fact...

what a dissapointing game.absolutely terrible, when you consider what it was expected to be.messi did show why he is the best in the world though.one of the worst performances by him in ages, yet he still scores against real madrid.brilliant

How is it that when Messi plays like shit and scores he is 'brilliant' but when, say Anelka plays like shit and scores, he is 'lucky'?

Messi was crap last night and his value was not to be seen. If you would have put a mask on him, I would have never guessed it was him... he played like Giovani dos Santos.

i think Valdes had a good game, especially since some might think he is overrated. Didnt have much trouble but was alert when needed, most notably to save from Drenthe and Palanca.

Puyol one of his best match that i have seen. Really motivated to beat Real, and he made the ideal assist for Eto'o, to go with solid defending.

Casillas over all showed his quality despite being on the losing side, with some mistakes once in a while. He did keep the score repectable. :)

Respectable considering the whole REAL TEAM IS INJURED. Barca should have crushed them, but this just shows, not everything is set in stone. I actually kinda see this as a victory in disguise for Real, says they can compete even with half of their attack in the medical room.

Henry kept attacking the make shift Salgado, and topped his performance with an superb assist for Messi.

Messi did very little indeed true. Not one of his best games. His goal came in a moment of spark and how he can take advantage of mistakes.

i find Busquets a very good sub. His strength and freshness was important in breaking Madrid down further, and he used it to win a controversial penalty.
