What are you smoking?
Lahm was a key reason why Germany's defense was so weak. The Torres goal, you know, THE ONE THAT WON THE TOURNAMENT FOR SPAIN???? It was his fault. He had positioning on Torres, but allowed the Spainard to out-muscle him for the ball. If he had poked it away, like most international-class defenders would have done, it wouldn't have even happened. He isn't a Euro 2008 all tournament performer, especially not over the likes of Puyol or Hamit Altintop, AND I'M A GERMANY FAN

CGlend - good rant on Lahm. Glad to find out that you watch the TV so closely.
If you were to look again though, you'll notice that Lahm's keeper - one Jens Lehmann - was rushing out. Lahm actually slowed down while Torres bounded ahead of him on the outside (thus covering more distance) to avoid hitting / colliding with Lehmann.
However, Lehmann was too slow, Torres got there first and the rest is history. Lehmann rushed out several times more during the match, got all of them right but got this one wrong. With Lahm covering he shouldn't have come out at all, or he should have moved off his line earlier. It was an error in judgment, but not from Lahm who was just listening to his keeper.

yeah your right... but lahm also must have or kicked that ball out or covered torres and lehmann must have waited and not rushed out..

coming from a goalkeeper, if i call the ball, i expect to get it, if my player gets in the way hes gonna hear about it. Lahm did what he shoud have done, Lehmann is at fault.

One could put also Nihat and M.Aurelio.They did a lot playing against powerful players.
Ballack or Xavi? why not, moreover, choice of distinguished half-backs are much wider,than forwards.. from forwards we can call Villa,Torres,Podolski, maybe Nihat, Klasnic, Pavluchenko,Guiza,Kuyt.. -
