Here's what i think
Best Players 1):- Marcos Senna:-Consistently outstanding in every match. A major factor for Spain's solid defensive record and provided the forward thrust occasionally
2)Micheal Ballack:-Barring the one game against Croatia, had a fantastic tournament. Should have had a bigger say in the final
3)David Villa:-The best striker on show. Could have banged in a few more goals.
Best Coach:-Slaven Bilic,Luis Aragones
Biggest Flops:-Luca Toni,Gomez,Alberto Aquilani,Eric Abidal,Lillian Thuram, Henrik Larsson, Jan Koller
Worst Coaches:-Raymond Domenech, Otto Reheangel
Most promising Players:-Wesley Sneijder- Was absolutely outstanding.Simply superb.Pulled the strings.defended..attacked and scored some magnificent goals. Real Madrid are lucky to have this guy..he is ozing with class.
Andrie Arshavin:-It was impossible to choose b/w Sneijder and Arshavin..so i ended up going for them both. The way Arshavin transformed Russia was mind blowing. However...his promise went down in my eyes to a large extent because of his anonymity in the semifinal...tho to be fair he didn't have the service
Most Promising Team:-Croatia:- Russia's preformance against Sweden wasn't all that great an achievement because to be fair Sweden aren't really that good a side. and i suspect their preformance against the Dutch was a one-off. Croatia however...look to be here to stay. They have got many good players in the team..while they arent heavy-weights yet...under the able guidance...they will go very far in the future.Future powerhouses
Least Promising team:-Czech Republic:-Their golden age is over. Everything indicates that Czech football is on a downward slide.Their only hope...Tomas Rosiscky and Sionko
