This is a table I've compiled combining goals and assists credited in the Premier League during season 2008-09.

I've included every player who has scored 10 goals or more, assisted in 10 goals or more or a combination of both.

Figures are adapted from the Premier League's own official site.

Combined Premier League Goals & Assists Table 2008-09
Combined Premier League Goals & Assists table 2008-09

A total of 942 goals were scored in 2008-09.

Of those, 905 were credited to goalscorers with a further 37 classed as own goals.

774 of those goals were given assists credits.

258 players got their names on the score sheets with 279 players given assists credits.

Altogether, 337 different players either scored, assisted or did both in the Premier League during 2008-09 out of the total of 530 players who made at least one appearance during the season.

The full table, showing every Premier League player who has scored or assisted during 2008-09 is available here (too big to post!)...

Your table is wrong! Anelka only has 2 assists this season!

Drogba and Kalou had more goals then Giggs.

BTW, Hull City were the only team not to have a single player with at least 10 combined goals & assists.

Don't you just love little gems like that?

Strangely enough, no English striker scored more goals than Darren Bent's 12 in the Premier League this season.

Something for Fabio Capello to think about, perhaps?

Darren Bent failed when he got his chance!

Darren Bent is not England quality. I'd happily let some under 21 players come through instead of resting the nations goalscoring hopes on Mr Bent
