The very idea of Christian Panucci coming to the club and shoring up the defence gives me a giant boner. Sure, he's 35, but he's still got it.

I STILL MISS NOBBY & BOBBY!!!

Tribalfootball.com. And if Harry Redknapp ever really wanted someone with real bottle to shore up his defence and save the club from relegation, Panucci would be the one.

I always wished he had stayed at Chelsea.

This story is so funny to me because it brings up my past quite a bit. When I was first starting out in the scouting profession, I worked as a scouting consultant for Monaco, where Panucci was on loan. While i was there, I also had to meet scouts from other clubs to show them around and what not, and even back in 2001, scouts from the Premiership were coming around to look at him. Obviously, he eventually went to Roma, but Man Utd and some others were there.

Panucci is one of those lifetime footballers, that will probably die of natural causes on a football pitch. A true veteran and leader, to me he is a tremendous addition to any squad that is lucky enough to have him.

What? I didn't foul him, I just nudged him a bit
