Chelsea signed Serbian star???

    Serbia midfielder Nemanja Matic claims he has accepted a four-year contract offer at Chelsea.

    The 20-year-old was linked with Middlesbrough in the winter transfer window, while Tottenham and Sunderland have also been credited with an interest.

    But, according to Matic, Chelsea have won the race and now the Blues must agree a deal with his current club MFK Kosice.

    He told Dennik Sport: "I can confirm that Chelsea have offered me a four-year contract, which I have accepted.

    "Now the clubs must come to an agreement."

    Matic broke a metatarsal bone in the opening match of this summer's Under 21 European Championship following a challenge with Italy's Sebastian Giovinco.

    Never seen him play, but from all the hype seems a decent player. Good buy, I'll say. One for the future...hopefully they wont ruin his career like they did with Sidwell.

    he looked lively in that italy game,not really enough too judge him tho.suppose we will have to see if hes even moved first

    You don't have to know lots of chords to play songs that matter

    X, so why did Chelsea sign Mineiro ? A decent back up ? Ok, that might be understandable for Mineiro, who was 33 but Sidwell was 24 and at the peak of his career, for gods sake. He had just came off a terrific season with Reading finishing at 8th/9th and then he thought he had gotten his dream move but in the end he ended up being the reserves captin for the whole year.

    It didnt matter what his age, he knew he was not going to play ahead of the real Chelsea mid. Also the second factor was that during that time was the African Cup, so Mikel and Essien would of left leaving Chelsea with Ballack,Lampard (and maka) and both are not defending midfielders. Another factor was during that time Belleti did not play in mid for Chelsea, he played his usual position at RB.

    And Yes minero was signed as a back up until Essien got back, well I think he enjoyed his time at Chelsea with 30k a week for a year playing once for 9 min.....

    In short, Chelsea didnt care about what happened to Sidwell's career........hopefully the same thing wont happen to Sturridge and Turnbull.

    Exactly! And what about Franco Di Santo then ? Didnt Chelsea pay £6m for him ? What's going to happen to his career ?

    Chelsea have 4 strikers: Drogba and Anelka as the main pair, Di Santo and Danny S as the back up pair. (Kalou is not a striker anymore) Also Di Santo was bought for 3.4 mil. Hilario I think should be the second keeper like the way Kuszczak challenges Foster, and Rhys is too young.

    What I found interesting was the fact that it looks like Sheva and Pizza are gonna stay since they are included in the US tour (first game in Seattle which I'am attending :) ).

    So wont you include Sheva and Pizzarro in those "4" strikers ?

    Btw, good on ya, mate. I'd give anything to watch these stars play...even if it's Chelsea.

    Well I think it's too early too think sheva and pizza are gonna stay. I personally hope they do.
