If you are shit scared of a second-rater like Kenwyne Jones, where are you up against real hard, gifted strikers log Drogba, Dzeko or Benzema? Blaming the referee is a waste of time. Even though we played crap (*Cough cough* Rooney) we still created enough chances to win the game and should have had a penalty for hand ball. The gaffer screwed up the selection a bit, Welbeck just got in the way all the time and offered no width, Carrick and Valencia should have come on a long long time before they did and Rooney was piss as usual. Brilliant goal from Berba and Nani did very well! his balls into the box were niice and early and of good quality.

Foster made an unholy gaff with that Kenwyne Jones goal for sure, United were just managing to dominate at that time too, it turned the game.
Xerxes, Both Howard and Foster have cracked under the pressure of performing consistently for Manchester United and there are many many others over the years like Barthez, Carroll and that Italian goalkeeper(name escapes me). It's hard job playing for any really solid team BECAUSE, for 95% of the time, he's not doing anything at all.

Scholes isn't what he was, but, as Michael says, if you check his OPTA stats, he's still pretty decent and more consistent than Anderson. Always an inept tackler, he's horrible now, though. At, say, Watford or Bolton, a goalie is going to get a serious work-out week in/week out. Playing for the big five is different!
Big five eh? Maybe we should wait until the end of the season, remember Gomez for Spurs? he was terrible at the start of his Tottenham days, but is a solid keeper now.

thats just crazy,way too harsh on the lad.as for potential keeper replacements,frey at 29 sounds perfect,plenty of good years out of him,and hes pretty quality already.adler would be nice but 20m is insane money.i dont rate neuer highly at all,he makes way too many blunders,just as much as foster
it'll be cheaper and cleverer to flog Foster, sign EVDS for another season, keep Kuczsak and see how this giant German kid Robert-Ron Zieler does on loan. I've seen Neuer play quite a bit, but somehow missed his errors. 20M is a joke, but no quality goalie would have allowed a mediocre centre-forward to humiliate him like that. I recall seeing Jones try that on Shaysie Given, who's much smaller and lighter than Foster, and getting the back of his head in the mush and a hard elbow to the ear. A fair comparison would be Heskey's humiliation by Roque, Jr. at the World Cup. Courage doesn't get discussed much, but those who don't have any always, eventually, get sussed out!

I dunno, I cant recall him making many mistakes, he's good with penalties and all round shot stopping. He's okay with crosses too and he has the experience at the top level in the champions league and was significant in Rangers UEFA sup run a couple of years ago when they got to the final (his save vs Werder Bremen being a key one)

Sum1 said Jussi who i rate very highly as a keeper but i think whoever we bring in should be around the age of 24. Sadly i truelly think fergie will stick it out with foster because fergie is stubborn & awkward.
