    Eagles is wicked.

It's still Arsenal FC. U were making noise about thrashing Sheff and Wigan. Burnly was a different proposition.

It was completely different team with only Silvestre being the only first-teamer along with Bendtner...

Wilshere was quite confident but sadly ended up in the losing side.

Merida nearly scored a wonder goal, especially how u see him beat 2 men and let fly

Fabianski, man who siad he was better then Almunia? the first goal was his fault, he didnt deal with the Eagles cross.

He looked nervy with some hesitant handling and poor distribution but to be fair he made a number of other important stops.

that Randall guy is sloppy, he ame across to cover MacDonald for the second but was beaten far too easily.

Gibbs: Burnley found space down the Arsenal left all night long and Chris Eagles in particular enjoyed his evening, setting up the first goal after beating the young full back.

    nevermind

gibbs was a winger... he has been converted to defense... so he needs to improve in that aspect... he was also skinned alive during the wigan game defensively...

Wenger: Fran Merida Similar To Cesc

The Gunners' boss is hopeful that Merida will follow in the footsteps as his Catalan team-mate, but admits that he has taken longer to develop ...

Arséne Wenger believes Fran Merida is similar to Cesc Fŕbregas in the way he commands a midfield, but admitted that he was a late developer in comparison to the club captain.

    lol.

A team of youngsters, played 3 games, one against Premier League quality, scored 9, conceeded 2.

Cesc hasn't played in any of these games.

Ramsey is brilliant at his age, one says he will join Cesc one day in CM.

Ronaldo and/or Rooney haven't been as affective this season as they were last season, just like Adebayor and Fabregas last season.

Arsenal is not a one man team, either is United.

Raed I was to ask you...where you happy when Arsene bought Silvestre from Utd?

Did you see it as a shrewd buy or Fergie dumping trash? Cuz you know it's not fashionable to leave ManU for a rival like Liverpool or Arsenal...so what did you think?

The Gunners' boss secured the services of both players as youngsters from Barcelona and is hopeful that the pair can become as important as each other in the next few seasons.

While Cesc shone almost as soon as he tasted football at the highest level, Merida has taken longer to develop but Wenger is confident that he will come good.

“Being compared to Cesc is a big task as well but I think he has a similar talent,” Wenger told the club's official website.

Silvestre was a shrewd signing even though he might have been deemed surplus to requirements at united... you know the saying one man's junk is another man's treasure...

So far he has been solid i would say... though i definately would have liked someone like Mertesacker...

I don't know about being fashionable but it wasn't a step backward... compared to say City or Sunderland or a french league team...

Overall i feel everyone emerged as winners from this deal... United got the max amount of cash they could get, lowered their wage costs... Arsenal got a versitile and experienced defender... & Silvestre is getting first team games & the same amount of wages... win-win for everyone
