Dimitar Berbatov is clearly among the most capable players in Europe. His balance, technique, and vision are superb and obvious.

The laughable criticism of Dimitar doesn't come from the majority of true United fans who understand football. Most true supporters simply ignore the meaningless and/or malevolent comments on message boards, as it’s neither feasible nor desirable to respond to everyone who criticises him.

True fans only want to see their club succeed and are supportive during difficult times, too; they don't constantly attack a new player because they like someone else better, especially when their club is winning all major trophies. If in doubt, look at Liverpool fans' support of Robbie Keane (whose stats and performances for his new club are not as positive as Berba's).

Anyone who reviews the stats from the beginning of the season (goals, assists, time played, etc.) and watches United's last few matches carefully shouldn’t doubt Berba's class and value to the team. The stats also indicate his considerable experience and self-control - he's collected just one yellow card, while suffering more than 30 recorded fouls. It's true that he could have scored more but, unlike many other forwards, Berba is not selfish at all.

Performance in training is also an important factor; his team-mates and boss have expressed a highly positive impression of him in this respect, too.

I’d say bravo to Berba, and also to Sir Alex and the entire United team for all the achievements and the way they deal with pressure and attention.

WHat about Robbie Keane not being as usccessful as Berba? He's had 5 goals in 17 league games, while berba has had 3 in 15. Both not doing very well, but Keane is doing better.

Still Berba can still control a football these days (unlike Keane).

    Where is that from AhmedShah?

    Cue the Nani jokes...

Again -- if you don't score or assist, then...ya know whta, forget it. We only need 4 threads about this express topic, we don't need to add a fifth one.

HAH!! I remind you that Alan Hansen does a column for the Beeb every now and again... and Lawro almost always predicts Arsenal to screw up...

    There are no unbiased sources.

All the ManUtd fans here defend Berbatov, so would you say we're biased ? Of course you would and of course we are. Same goes for the Clubs Official Websites. They're obviously biased and bound to be. Live with it.
