okay... Carvalho and Alex only played with each other three times last season against Fulham, Stoke and briefly against Man City. In those games they conceded in total.... one foul each.....

Another question you should ask is how many tackles/ challenges/ headers do they miss. Calvalho is a solid defender and as this is Real Madrid topic, I think he could do a job for them. He's not as insane as Pepe at least...

apparently, Klaas-Jan didnt travel to Ireland with the team, I guess he is try to make a move out.

Xabi Alonso will be good for Real.

    never say never, mufan.

SAF might make last ditch buy should the pre-season do not go as he expected or during the first few games, things do not go as planned.

Huntelaar's agent surely knows that the Arse, the Scum, A.C. Milan and United are going to sit tight till August and assess what they've got already in friendlies. Plus, Real will be forced to drop their prices. If he signs for Stuttgart, he's going to get found out.

If he does replace Gomez at Stuttgart I think Bayern will be kicking themselves. Huntelaar over Gomez, if Stutt get him they'll of had a great summer. Can't see no other bigger club snapping him up before September, especially as his price will drop as Bobo said.

Hiddink would have left Carvalho out of the team because he can probably see his legs beginning to creak. He's been a class act for Chelsea but defenders either become quality with age or they look shell-shocked and out of place. Having a lot of injuries at a club with good medical facilities usually means the player can't hack the pace any more, and at 31 it doesn't bode well for the future. If I was him I'd go back to Porto.

Chelsea have a perfect defence since Bosingwa's arrival now. If Carvahlo leaves (god I hope not) we have Ivanovic who is superb.

So why do Chelsea appear to want to dump Bosingwa? Beats me. Did I miss some matches where he made some kind of egregious error(s)? I haven't really noticed him being caught out of position like Rafa the Kid does with us!

I didn't think he'd done badly at all either. Maybe he's disruptive or something. You've got Mancienne coming through the ranks as well, although it takes a little longer to break defenders in sometimes. Their defence wasn't perfect last season but that wasn't down to a lack of ability, they've got the potential to have a long run of clean sheets this time round. Don't think they could do it with the amount of injuries United had when they broke the record though.

No one wants to dump Bosingwa it was all bullshit rumors. The rumor was of Chelsea get Maicon they would sell Bosingwa to Bayern, something that wont happen.

I saw Kenyon on Univision saying the 30M price for Maicon was 8M more than his his original agreement with Moratti and that Chelsea weren't going to pay over the odds like Shitty.

Shitty and Madrid have ruined the market. Three years ago we wouldn't be quoting such ridiculous figures for a right back.

The competition is between messi and Ronaldo. Ronaldo beat messi in world player of the year award and in champions league final messi beat ronaldo. Its 1-1 now and both players will try to win la liga to make 2-1. But messi will make the impact because his whole unit is behind him.
