Pompey are about to sell Benjani to Man City, but they are closing on Defoe. Who is better?

It depends, as a lone striker in Manchester City's formation, Benjani would be better suited because of his size, but with Portsmouth who have Milan Baros and Nugent who can both hold the ball well, Defoe is preferable because of his blistering pace

Looks like Benjani may still make it through to City, if the FA rules in their favor following a review.

Portsmouth have a scary array of talent, especially up front. I don't think they really wanted to sell Benjani, I read something saying Redknapp was only doing it to balance the books after buying Defoe. I think he got burned a bit with Nugent, he didn't turn out as good as he was hyped last season, but then again he needs a bit more experience and time.

Think of a front line with Benjani and Defoe flanking Kanu, the goals would be ringing in for Pompey..
