Who do you think should win the Ballon D'Or - Kaka or Ronaldo?

Interesting to read Mourinho's comments on this one, considering his tiff last season with Ronaldo over accusations that the Portuguese winger was a cheat.

Mourinho: "For me, there are six, seven, eight players who would be worthy winners. However, if the quality of the player, his fair-play and the success obtained with his own team are taken into consideration, I would give this recognition to Kaka."

In my opinion there's no contest. Kaka all the way for reasons past & understanding.
Bottomline - he's just better than Ronaldo, fullstop.

It has to be Kaka, for being able to perform in the big matches. Both have th eability to tar apart the not-so-great teams on their own, but ever since he's been at united, Ronaldo has struggled in the big games(other than in the 4-2 v Arsenal), which could be because he has had less experience in the latter stages with United, whereas Kaka has gone the whole way with Milan twice already.

When Ronaldo matures and is able to take big teams by the scruff of the neck then he will be worthy but until then it's Kaka. I predict a big season for Ronaldinho though now that some of the vast amount of expectation is off his shoulders.

When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.

hmmm...at least the United fans are still sober enough to pick Kaka :) Wonder if we all thought the same at the end of last season?

Ronaldo is a great player and imo will develop into a player that can truly equal Pele and Maradonna.
Kaka I believe at the meoment is still a better player.

My vote however would go for Ronaldo (I know I'm being biased here) becuase of what he had to endure whilst reaching the levels he did last season. For a young lad, this is truly remarkable. Also, how many people can outshine Wayne Rooney on a weekly basis?

Ronaldo's quality but still has work to do. He's not always firing and I've seen his effects nullified by certain defenses.

Kaka however I can only judge based on Champion's League form. I hear his Serie A form was not as good but based on what I've seen, I think him the world's best. He was fantastic for Milan in their CL run, well befitting of the award.
