What a strange season of twists and turns this is turning out to be. In the first three games United just can't win: 0-0, 1-1, 1-0 to City. In the next 5 games, United can't stop winning 1-0; and can't concede a goal for love or money. So it's a new cry: "1-0 to the United!". Then another metamorphosis: United just can't stop scoring 4 goals: 4-0, 1-4, 2-4 and finally 4-1 against Boro. United equal a club record which has stood for exactly 100 years: 4 goals in 4 successive games.

So, United go top, if only for 24 hours. They face Arsenal in the next game at the Emirates; a side which beat United home and away last season.

So the biggest match of the season is coming up. Now for the question of the week, perhaps of the league season so far: can United win, will they win (never mind about the 4 goals)? Predictions please.

I dunno, Arsenal were good against 'Pool yesterday but wasted some amazing chances and in the end Reina probably should have stopped Fab's goal. United are definately stronger in MF and they are about even going forward. It will probably depend on the defense and considering Arse will be playing with a wing back (Sagna) and United will be playing with a CB (Brown) at RB United may be more defensively sound but it will probably go to whoever scores first and grabs the momentum.

All depends on Adebayor. If he plays well Arsenal might be able to pull a draw. Man Utd are at the top of their form, while Arsenal are a little bit off peak now having played their best football early on in the season.

    Cue the Nani jokes...

On the United side people will talk about Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Giggs, Nani etc. The most important United player is none of the above: Owen Hargreaves is the key man. If Hargreaves puts Fabregas "back in his box", Arsenal are in trouble. Hargreaves on top - will leave the other United boys free to do "their thing".

It's a real tough one to call. Arsenal will have more possession of the ball (they keep the ball better than anyone else), but United to edge it - just, if Fergie decides to unleash United's fire power and not play the cagey European away type performances of last season (at Celtic, Roma and Milan - all lost!).
