    A bit pre-emptive considering that he could flop this weekend, but is there a case for Ashton having a bright England future?

    Physically he'd compliment both Rooney and Owen and when he's older, Walcott (talent-wise these 3 are the best we have). He can score goals too, something that Heskey can't do and he's faster and stronger (and better at heading) than Crouch.

    So what's he missing?

    Good point. There was a time when i was hoping(after norwich got relegated) that Wenger signs him. He is a good future prospect(or even current for that matter).
