there has been no official announcement of this move yet from either clubs or player, but according to guillem ballague, who is usually very reliable, this move is as good as done.he is set to be atleticos new no.1 next season following leo franco's departure.great move for atletico, this guy will be awesome.just wish we had him

Asenjo is a top quality keeper already, and being so young, one can only hope he will improve further. He will probably end up replacing Casillas for Spain in the future. Shrewd move by Athletico.

good gain for Atletico. Has anyone seen Cassillas play for Madrid this end of the season? Man even pinto is better then him,

Tbf to Iker, his defence has been letting opposing teams have pot shots at goal so while Iker may not have been at his best at the end of the season I'd challenge any keeper to play behind the Real defence for 10 months and not have their performance drop off vastly

It seems United are going for the 6'5" Pele instead, but Asenjo is the stone real deal!

I STILL MISS NOBBY & BOBBY!!!
