I wanna know what will Arsenal's starting line up in front and the middle be next season if everyone is fit....mind boggling!!! Arsene has a tough selection job.

    He has to choose from:
    Bendtner
    Van Persie
    Arshavin
    Adebayor
    Eduardo
    Fabregas
    Nasri
    Rosicky
    Walcott
    Denilson
    Eboue
    Diaby
And then there's the kiddie assassins like
    Vela
    Merida
    Wilshere
    Ramsey....

Kinda hard job to find your best attack here if all are fully fit....

You don't win a silver medal, you lose the gold!

Eboue, Diaby, Bendtner will have to make way, most prolly sold by the summer ...

    Arshavin Fabregas Denilson Nasri
    Adebayor Van Persie

    this will be their subs:
    Walcott Ramsey Rosicky Vela
    Eduardo

Wilshere and Merida need more time ... Ade might be sold too if some clubs come looking for him.

that is offensive ... ... line up!

i guess in this situation Theo have to wait on the bench, when it is late in the game, when the opposition is tired, then will he come on.

another thing to note, is that in Van Persie, Arshavin, Nasri, Rosicky and to a ceratin extent, Fabregas, they are all pin point crossers of the ball, hence they need Ade or, ahem, Bendtner to head the ball in.

    Well said.

Diaby, Eboube, Denilson should go away this summer. Bendtner is always useful (from headers). Rosicky will have to go if he cannot stay fit and Eduardo is too good to sit on the bench.

If it was me in place of Wenger, this is what I would do:

    ----------Fabregas----------
    Rosicky----------------Nasri
    ----------Arshavin-----------
    Adebayor---------Eduardo

The rest can sit on the bench. Note: if Ade leaves, RvP is not exactly short or a bad header of the ball.

    Cue the Nani jokes...

adebayor is the target man in my team if u look closer, walcott would come in for rosicky pending on the game but its way too offensive it would be suicide against the other big clubs.

imo, Denilson isnt that bad, is he?

yep Rosicky is like 29? so i think he is kinda old for this team, time to head back to Dortmund or Sparta Prague.

Eduardo have no choice but to take the bench, so unless Ade leaves or have a sudden goal drought, then i think Eduardo will be back in the first team.

just put van Persie--Adebayor--Eduardo upfront with Arshavin and Walcott on the wings...

mufan's utter lack of knowledge of English makes his joke all the funnier. Haha!!

there no way that anyone will be chosen up front before RVP... wenger preaches technical brilliance. and noone in the team is more technically sound the RVP. ade is good but he's gotta pull up his socks.

    walcott---Fabregas---nasri
    --------arshavin---------
    --RVP---------Adebayor---

but unlikey cause wenger will need a defensive mid to sit next to cesc so maybe Diaby will start next to him and walcott will fall to the bench and arshavin will slot in on the right

Truth is somebody will get the shaft because for Fabregas to be effective he needs a Viera-like or Gilberto-Silva-like player with him....

He worships Van Persie as well so he is safe....And Ade is not going to bench....these are the only 3 I think are sure in the offense...

It's a toss up with the rest and that means only 3 players. One of which we are sure has to be a hard tackler and decent holding mid....Song? Diaby? Eboue even?.....The real war is on the flanks and who will get the full time nod....

They paid for Arshavin so i think he has to play off that fee...so he'll get one.

The other flank tho....Eboue, Rosicky, Walcott and Nasri have a problem...but I'd give the nod to Nasri...even tho I'm a Rosicky fan.

    I would go for:

    Arshavin,Fabregas,Nasri,Walcott

    Up front would be

    Eduardo and RVP

Adebayor has not done anything this season, he can make cameo appearances until he starts to regain his form.
It was a toss up between Rosicky and Walcott but Theo on form would cause more problems

    -------------Arshavin---Van Persie----------------

    Rosicky----Nasri-------Fabregas---------Walcott---

    Clichy-----Gallas------Toure------------Sagna-----

    ------------------Fabianski-----------------------

When Rosicky or Walcott get injured again drop Arshavin to CM put Nasri to LM & Put Eduardo or Adebayor in up front.

It's not selection woes, it's trying to think of a decent enough squad to get a result against good teams, something we've to some extent, failed to do this season.

All I can say to Le Boss, simply, as Arshavin has proved, bring in experienced, rated, good footballers - even if you have to spend some of the money under Stan Kroenke's bed..

guys, in order to challenge next season's league title, gunners need a strong defensive midfielder. denilson is not phisically strong enough. real will sell mahamadou diarra. he would be a great addition to arsenal's line up. and also eto'o (barca). he is more effective to play alone upfront. my suggestion would be

    ----------------- eto'o ---------------
    ---------------------------------------
    van persie ------------------- arshavin
    ---------------------------------------
    -------- nasri --------- fabregas -----
    --------------- m.diarra --------------
    ---------------------------------------
    clichy -------------------------- sagna
    --------- m.sakho ----- toure ---------
    ---------------------------------------
    ---------------- almunia --------------

yeah, very good at their ages. but not good enough to challenge united, chelsea n liverpool's midfielder. we can see how experience take place when united easily controlled the possession in midfield in both legs of UCL semi. we need a phisically strong defensive midfielder. they both not big enough.

i love Denilson, but since the team is in full strength and Arshavin coming in, i doubt he and Alex Song can have start a game anytime soon.

i think arsene should rebuild the team, but not in the attacking row. defending side of the team should be given more look. arsene doesnt hve problem attacking wise. the bad scoring form this season is just bcause of the injuries. not to be worried for next season when they all be back. the aging gallas should be back to france playing with psg, swap place with sakho who is ready to play for gunners. nasri n fabregas are both attacking central midfielder. so arsene should find 25-28yr old, strong, great ball control defensive midfielder.

the reason we are not scoring as many goals is because our wingers don't get in behind the defence when attacking like pires and ljungberd used to. therefore arshavin and walcot5t have to play for me because they can do it. nasri is best playing a more attacking role and more central. fabregas says he prefers the holding role but that would leave no room for a vieira type player. unless you sacrificed a striker. the way toure gets forward and strikes the ball i have alwys thought it would be worth giving him a go there. now that vermaelan has joined that would be possible.

    --------------Van Persie--------------

    arshavin-----------------------walcott

    -----------nasri----fabregas----------
    - -------------toure----------------

    clichy----gallas----vermaelen----sagna

    --------------almunia-------------------

when attacking nasri can push up behind rvp and fabregas can sit alongside toure.

    -Sagna--toure----Lucio--Clichy

    ----------Almunia-------------
    -Sagna--Toure----Lucio--Clichy
    -Walcott--Melo--Cesc---Arshavin

melo looks set to stay at fiorentina. i doubt we will sign another center back this summer as wenger has allready spent around £10m on vermaelen. Besides man city could easily outbid us for lucio if they are still interested and i think Juan is more a wenger type of player.

well eboue can go. i would pay fiorentina to take him. decent enough player but not a regular and the way he roles around on the floor annoys even arsenal fans. i do like melo and if we could get rid of eboue at the same time that would be great :D i still think it is worth giving toure a chance in midfield though.

If arsenal got Yaya and a class striker they'd have a decent chance of the league next season 8O

we have two class strikers. but only one of them has proven himself to be fully committed. we also have a few potentially class strikers but if we signed another striker they would not get a chance.

A better GK than Almunia, IMO, would be the first step.

Bentdner, Adebayor, Eduardo, Van Persie and Vela any others? :? of them I'd say Van Persie and Adebayor are the only top class players who are normally fit...
