After Bentley signing with Tottenham, their arch rivals- Arsenal will be given half of the 18 million dollars that the Spurs payed in the transfer fee. Looks like the Robers got the worst of the deal.. they'll only recieve 8.5 million for their star.

Do any of you think Wegner will go after someone to depthen his squad?
Does tottenham still have a legiminate shot at landing in the top 4?

I think 30% was the figure in the Pennant deal so I'd guess its about the same. I think they'll offer £12m for Alonso and see whether Liverpool get desperate before the end of the transfer window. Otherwise they might as well play Song or Diaby as the holding midfielder and see how they do. From what he said at the end of last season and more recently I think Wenger fancies Song in the role long-term.

Whatever the percentage, Arsenal are a money-making machine. Consequently, don't expect them to buy any high-profile players like Veloso or Barry. For instance, Wenger has been pricing up Jimmy Briand for five years, according to French language radio. Whoever he gets, it won't be anyone well known already, except, perhaps, an experienced goalkeeper.

I STILL MISS NOBBY & BOBBY!!!
