Are Italian fans the worst?

   We think the English fans are bad because they boo their own. Well, some Spanish (and several eastern european countries) engage in racial chants, so they're probably worse (i'd rather our fans booed us than racially abused the opponents).

   But Italians take the cake (or thereabouts). They burn flags at away games and after a mixture of fan violence and corruption cost Italy Euro 2012, there's a chance they could lose the Champions League final this year if any more incidents occur this season.

   It's a shame that minorities can embarrass a whole nation like this..

   disgraceful that a great footballing nation is being put to shame by a bunch of fuckin idiots.the worst thing is its not looking like stopping anytime soon

   You don't have to know lots of chords to play songs that matter

   So many fans are so f****** stupid. They worship their team if they win as if they were gods and then if they lose the hate them. But in italy they take it to another level. Remember in the 06-07 Champions League I think it was? When Inter fans through a flair at Dida and hit him on the head. Or when some italian team (Roma I think, not sure) through a coin at a referee and slashed his eyebrow. Those people are a shame to the game.

   lo yeah! here in america (central and south) the fans get really crazy sometimes

    For pure viciousness it's a toss up between Cardiff City and Milwall fans. Race is rarely an issue with them. Like a pack of hyenas they tend to look for lone drunken victims and leave their initials carved into their faces. The most famous Cardiff mob is a salt-and-pepper gang called the Tiger Bay Bwoyzz. They like to carry small vials filled with Spirit-of-Salt acid and toss it in the face of enemy fans. Italians don't like plain old street aggro. As with the assassination of Julius Caesar, a group of them will surround an isolated victim and make sure everybody takes a turn to stab them, so that each is equally guilty in the eyes of the law. A.S. Roma and Lazio Ultra fans have one major advantage over any other fans, the Carabinieri (police) support them completely and openly. Gooner fans were truly out of their element in Copenhagen when they went to war with the Galatasaray after losing in the EUFA Cup Final. Two fatal stabbings got a lot of publicity, but the Danish police stood aside as drunken, obnoxious Arsenal fans got beaten up and sodomized by an army of right-wing Turkish ex-military heavies. Primera and Premier League fans tend to be a bit more upscale these days, although God knows what will happen if Cardiff ever win promotion.

    just read a story on skysports about fans in senegal going absolutely apeshit because the national team didnt qualify for the world cup.they started trashing the stadium and burning tires.the players had to stay in the changing rooms for 4 hours until undercover cars arrived to pick them up....and its not the first time apparently

    What about Ivory Coast fans? kidnapping there own players and holding them hostage. They've got to be up there....god knows what the leagues are like over there

    Which one? There was a lot of stuff printed about Arsenal fans being routed by the Turks in Copenhagen,but it was just the tip of it. It was a bunch of hooligans in town for a bit of lad bovver, only their Gooners lost and they chose to start smashing up Copenhagen's Red Light district and fell afoul of some really hard Turks and Albanians. A couple of guys I grew up with are Vice copppers in Manny, so I don't think they were lying to me. As for football fans in Rome and Cardiff: Everybody knows about those nutters!

    Ahmed in the intrest of european football could u add German football to the list? I'd do it if i could/knew how but german football is really entertaining & bremen scoring alotta goals. I know it has nothin 2 do with the topic
