So as quick as Ancelotti is gone, a successor is appointed. Reuters are reporting that Leonardo has immediately been appointed manager of AC Milan and will be unveiled at Midday on Monday 1st June.

It is a gamble appointing Leonardo but IMHO a calculated one. He has worked at Milan for many years and has demonstrated his human and coaching abilities and has also identified a number of potential players for Milan to sign. I was impressed with Leonardo when he worked for the BBC during recent Euro/World cup tournaments and he appeared to have a good understanding of the game and a tactical awareness. Of course he will have picked up a lot of experience from his Brazil Int. days and time playing for big clubs in Europ but Coaching and management is a whole different ball game....

I predict he will do well.....

Ancelotti put up with a lot of shit from Berlusconi for years, bless him. Abramowich is a different kind of personality, but he may not have realised just how sharp the teeth are on Kenyon, Arnesen and Buck. It's going to interesting at Stamforge Bridge next season.

I STILL MISS NOBBY & BOBBY!!!

This should be a very busy summer for AC Milan and i think Leonardo will be clearing the squad of some of it's misfit's.

Out should go - Jankulovski, Favalli, Bonera, Shevchenko, Ambrosini, Kaladze and Kalac.

In should come - Santacroce, Hamsik, Paloschi, Bocchetti, De Silvestri, Adebayor.

He is co-owned with Parma and has spent the past season there. I can't understand why they agreed to him going there with the likes of Shevchenko and Borriello ahead of him in the AC squad. Paloschi should be at the San Siro learning from quality strikers and coaches because he definitely has enough ability to lead the AC front line for years to come.

Borriello isn't going to be good enough for a club Like AC Milan. End of. I think despite Adebayor having a relatively quiet season at Arsenal, he is just the sort of striker they need. Big, strong, powerful, good touch with the ability to get goals. His style would suit Italian Football and i believe he would be a success.

The Co-ownership rules are a little sketchy to me, but i think you have pretty much summed it up. I'm sure someone with a better knowledge of the inner workings of Italian Football could clear it up better than i could....
