Why does everybody put R. Carlos in their greatest (etc etc etc) teams. He is pantz - or at the very least HIGHLY OVERATED. He could not defend, almost all his free kicks either hit the wall or row Z, he was not an outstanding crosser of the ball and would have got absolutely mullerd if he had ever played in the EPL. His only attribrute is that he has a good haul of goals considering the postion he played in (but there again he did predominantly play for Madrid!)
Maldini SURELY has to be the best ever left back!!!!

I had to find a way to fit in Platini as he was a magical player.

I was close to picking Passarella but thought that he was more of an orthodox CB. Eusebio was touch and go with Platini for a midfield spot and it could have gone either way tbh. Both top quality players who performed on the highest stage possible.

Maradona in midfield? Beckenbauer was no Center Back. He was a sweeper!
Banks; Zé Maria, Blanc, Koeman, Breitner; Beckenbauer, Charlton, Baresi, Cruyff, Best; Pele, Muller
Schumacher, Cafu, Passarella, Moore, Facchetti; Zidane, Baresi, Eusebio, Platini; Maradona, Fontaine
I STILL MISS NOBBY & BOBBY!!! -

Unfortunately I'm old enough to remember the Brazil team of 1970.
Just pick those 11 and forget the rest.

The Brazil 1974 team were even better, just cursed. Banks, Zoff, Yashin, Schumacher: All fantastic goalkeepers!
