Queresma for Chelsea
Pool made a lost for Keane.
Queresma is just a loan and i wonder how Chelsea is going to use him.
Quaresma maybe as a replacement for Joe Cole...
You can't replace Joe Cole. It's the desire and intelligence of Essien and Cole that's being missed .the most. Ballack and Didi have both quit already. Still, Quaresma can be quite clinical and brilliant and Scolari will have him shifting flanks. He can do a lot of damage, especially if Didi comes around; but, I can't see Anelka doing the kind of donkey-work Quaresma needs in a manner approaching Tevez and Rooney's hard work to set up Ronaldo.
so he is replacing who?
RQ is on loan for till end of the season, my take is when Joe and Michael is back, he is warming the bench.
Cole is out for the Season. It is just up to Essien.
Ppl you need to remember scolari managed queresma when he was the portugal manager he has brought in a player who he thinks he can rely on.
If he plays well, Quaresma will not be warming the bench. Ideally, next season, they'll dump Malouda and Deco, pick up Robinho and have the little thumb-sucker and Quaresma switch wings a lot. Joe Cole is certainly very capable of playing in central midfield with Essien and L:ampard. If Miroslav Stoch pans out, they'll be able to use Robinho in the middle. Ballack still shows flashes of brilliance, but I think he'll have to take a cut in wages to stay.
mmmmm indeed, master bobo, I concur....
if Essien is back, o.O i fear for Mikel.
mikel has another month to try and cement that place.but honestly it wont happen will it?cant leave out a player of essiens calibre
this has nothing to do with the window just gone by,but has anybody here heard of javad nekounam and masoud(not sure of full name),the iranian players with osasuna.ive seen them both a few times recently, they look like decent players, they could make it at bigger clubs than osasuna anyway.keep an eye out for them in the future
The last I heard about the two Persians was that they were forbidden by their government from playing in a friendly against Juventus because Trezeguet is a Jew. This may not bode well for their future.
As for Obi Mikel, I don't see how or why Essien would be a threat to him. For me, Essien is the single best footballer in the world and, as such, is far superior to the fading Michael Ballack. Mikel and Essien together could be just as formidable as Daniele Di Rossi and Rino Gatuzzo for Lippi's Italy
then wot will happen to Kalou?
Rino Gatuzzo? His name is Gennaro Gattuso right?
"Rino" is his nickname, ma bwoy is the Calabrese rhinoceros! Isn't Kalou supposed to be a striker?
gattuso's an absolute animal and we have the spl to thank for him,as he learned his trade there with my beloved rangers and hopefull he will retrn tonite when we play a.c in a friendly.
You asked about javad nekounam and masoud Duff?
I scouted them before, but bobo has something with the government. They won't be going to a bigger club probably, because they are bound by their work permits to abide by what the Iranian government says. No big club wants a crap deal like that.
They have serious talent, its just those work permits...
wow,i never knew about that.thats a bitch.is there any way they can get around it?
