Don't know about you guys but I think everyone is getting a bit ahead of themselves on the Adebayor front, in the last three days the guy has had a lot of press and alot of blogs on him e.g. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/adebayor-has-the-game-to-take-on-his-playstation-hero-781384.html

Don't get me wrong I rate him highly but once again as soon as it comes to Arsenal everyone goes a little bit silly. They have proved nothing yet until they win something with this new crop and hopefully this weekends FA cup game will show us whether or not they deserve the praise. The same goes for Ade, he needs to show up in the big, big games before he gets comparisons to the likes of Henry (although Henry vary rarely showed up for the big games in my opinion). Anyway, I await a tirade from the gooners but its just a thought.....

He has definitely proved to me that he's great because he's joint top scorer now

Arsenal have been successful this year and thats hard for Spurs fans to take

His form is fantastic, joint top scorer in the world's best league - Hard to beat that.

He's getting better too, defintly will be a great striker once he hits his peak.

top scorer for one season means squat (although it is respectable)

world's best league - you'll have challengers to that claim as well. Most popular, most televised, but best?

If being top scorer is what counts, than Ruud van Nistelrooy is a fuckin legend for his record in the last 5 years....

Thierry Henry much?

Personally, he is getting better season by season; At 23 he's playing fantastically - Scoring goals, Setting up goals and not getting in any biffo's with the squad, He has my 'vote'.

Not dissing him, totally agree with all that has been said. Just think Arsenal get a little bit of special treatment by the press sometimes and they go over board with the hyperboles. He is good, but so I think Torres is as good if not better, but then again next season will be when he proves himself cause people might have figured him out by then.

Ade is great for us, even though his goals have dried up honestly, when it counted mostly, If you have a look around Arsenal forums you'll see a fair few Gooners aren't too sure of the Togonator - personally, I think 3 years in the English game then the third highest scorer in the league is a nice return for that. I don't have a doubt he'll grow into something good.

But, he'll never be a Thierry Henry, there'll never be another Thierry Henry.

how can u not call Ruud van Nistelrooy a legend!! I mean have u looked at his team/individual records. He made teams great and he made individual records too!! Just like Ronaldo's doing now. Without Ronaldo Man U woudl be in last! lol! jk jk! I'm just a little biast cause i'm a Chelsea fan!

I agree with Kyle,Adebayor is no Henry...Torres is no Rush...Shevchenko is no Drogba and Rooney is no Bobby Charlton...
