There was a time when all the big clubs were in for him and then suddenly all the interest just faded away. He's a reliable defender who won't make many mistakes. Not your born leader but not a wuss either. A few days before the game against Udinese on August 5th, CCFC will face Juventus at the Ricoh arena on July 31st. It'll will be a great opportunity to see some of Europes finest in action, and I'm pretty sure the stadium will be close to a sell-out. The prospect of seeing the likes of Del Piero, Nedved, Buffon, Iaquinta and Camoranesi at our place is great, and it testament to the way the club is progressing that we are able to attract such big clubs here during the build up to their own domestic campaigns.</p> <p>Hopefully it will be the curtain raiser for a great season at fortress Ricoh, I'm quietly optimistic about our chances, especially given the quality of signings we've made thus far. The likes of De Zeeuw, Borrowdale, Konstantopolous and Cairo will be a massive improvement on what we had before, and the added depth, along with some much needed pace and width in the side should also help to make us more threatening in attack.</p> <p>Any other championship fans lurking in these parts? </p>
