Makelele on the bench. as for ashley cole, Chopper harris is chelsea's all time highest appearence maker and was captain. he won the 1970 fa cup and the 1971 European cup winners cup. so for that reason combined with the fact that i hate ashley cole, harris would start for me. If so Claude Makalele would definitely be a starter. At their prime, the four I have selected would surely be the best midfielders to ever play for us. The only player in prime form that could arguably displace any of these is Gullit. In goal, I would get Roy Carroll (derby co) as cover. In the midfield, I would give sidwell, gardner & reo-coker the chances they deserve, but also get Gary O'Neil (middlesbro) 4m & Tom Huddlestone (spurs) 5m. I would lose Salifou & loan out Osbourne. Fabian Delph (leeds) 8m would be a great signing but i don't think we'll get him Up Front, I would let Delfouneso go out on loan, preferably to someone like coventry or walsall, so he doesn't get homesick.
