asia has to be said is not much of a challenge

you can say that now, but with Australia in asia now, it opens up a whole market of competition and it'll improve the team's playing levels. Australia, China, Korea, Iran, saudi arabia and now maybe india, are slowly becoming international forces of football,

(Australia ranked 16)

Guys who was it that supplied the pass for Eto'o to score the first goal in the Champions League final...was it Iniesta? Didn't he also play a part in the second goal: his pass went to Xavi who crossed it for Messi to head home

sorry but I really don't remember

who's better overall iniesta or xavi?

Guys you know what? Despite the US's success in the tournament I kinda don't want soccer/football to go mainstream and popular here in America...I kinda like the fact it's "undergound" and only liked by a select few. I'm concerned that America will ruin the game if it does become popular here

Guys do you think a fit Iniesta would have made all the difference in the tournament? Xavi obviously can't do it all by himself

the more I think about it the more I think that Iniesta should be runner-up in the Ballon D'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year Awards. Who should be no.3? Will it be a clean sweep on the podium for Barca?

Ahh, I don't think their luck from the Confederations Cup will hold through. Of course, Mexico are on a bad run of form as of late, so we might see a repeat performance by the US. It seems really hard to call.

I think there's every chance they can do it, but it's even harder to better your greatest victory in the history of your nation's football in the next game. Plus their not so much a surprise package anymore, but it'd be great for football if they pulled it off.

He's played both positions for Wolves but I think he looks more of a natural centre half, decent pace, good timing in the tackle and good aerial ability. He was impressive in the Championship, we'll see if he's good enough for the Prem.

In the end this is still not the World Cup, but the intangible shot in the arm that it gives the MLS after the Beckham circus and the corporate soap opera involving Jurgen Klinsmann is huge. It's still the greatest victory in Yank footie history. I want to see Tim Howard embarrass the Gaffer. Today he will have to play the greatest game of his career!!!

Not mature enough if you ask me, he's a little hesitatn and has the Paul Robinson stutterstep when a cross comes in. The best thing for him would be to play in the lower leagues for another season, then maybe go to a prem club, but get loaned to a championship side for a season. The potential is definitely there, same with Loach, but I rate Lewis better, to be quite honest, I've always thought that he'd be a good replacement for Given, until Given pissed of to Citeh, that's besides the point, but I'd love to be watching him in goal at St James' Park.

Lewis
Cranie Mancienne Onuoha Taylor
Milner Noble Muamba Johnson
Walcott Campbell

i might put Gardner in midfield in the expense of Campbell, but i fear Walcott will drop too deep as he is more of a winger player who starts from deep.

cattermole and muamba are going to have be on top of their game against germany, ozil is looking lively.if ben hatira plays,he will cause a lot of problems too, tricky customer.england can get some joy at set pieces though.despite germanys height with players like boateng and howedes, they look very weat at defending corners and free kicks.could have conceded 4 or 5 against italy from them
