Brian mate, that’s me too. In the moment I can never remember to try things. I once pulled a 360 off that put me into space from where I could get in a good shot. I was so stunned that it actually worked that I was like a deer in the headlights. I hesitated for second and then just shot (missing pretty badly high and left) instead taking the space that was there.

Haha, I laughed so hard at your post – because you are absolutely right!

Here in the States, on my equivalent of a pub team, I always think before a game : “Hey, I will try _____ tonight, and see what happens.” Almost always, I never get around to it, or fail miserably.

We are INCREDIBLY spoiled by how good professional footballers are, in mind and matter.

You’re absolutely spot on about how watching the best of the best on TV does seem to screw up a little semblance of reality. Fact is that MOST leagues in the world are not top class and we’ve got to remind ourselves that!
