VERY funny main article. Can we just nail the food poisoning/virus story? Spurs didnt have 3 players injured who would have recovered by the next day (when we requested to play the game); the players who did play were made up of the 4-5 who didnt have the virus and 8 who did but were the least affected. - you only have to look at the peculiar line-up to see that. We asked the League for a 24 hour postponement, as would normally be allowed when a club loses more than half its first team squad. Dont forget that when we got hold of League officials (especially Scudamore) he was at Highbury in company of David Dein, and it was Scudamore who refused to allow the game to be postponed or even delayed 3 hours (Spurs final request, to give the players time to take on fluids etc to replace what they'd lost). All of this is in the official report that the League issued and Spurs published reply.

There was no Malaysian betting scandal; no Arsenal fan in the kitchen; just bad luck followed by a bad judgement by the Premier League. And it really did change football history.............

Can't believe Arsenal sacked Wenger in 2007. Surely the "constant" in all these football forks is, no matter what happens, every season Arsenal will be in the state of rebuilding their squad with 16 year olds.

Quite a chuckle reading it! Arsenal scum writing in to try and correct things. YES it wasnt food poisoning, but they did contract the Novovirus in that hotel, it is an extremely contagious illness where symptoms are seen within a couple of hours. All it takes is a sneeze in a kitchen, hands not being cleansed properly and it will spread. Initially it was thought to be food poisoning as everyone who ordered the lasagne fell ill. It was later told that it was the Novovirus which has almost identical symptoms, so even though it wasnt the food, it was whoever handled the food that crippled them, and it was 10 players that were ill, not 3, and the reserves couldn't make it in time. So what if we did know the Arsenal score what difference would that have actually made? It's not like we would have played for a draw, thats a ridiculous risk to make! Fact is, the article is pretty funny, and just like your boring, spaz of a french paedo manager, you don't have a sense of humour!

But the reality is only one player had any problem with the lasagne - it was a Spuds ploy to gain 24 hours so three injured players could be back for the game and they could know the Arsenal result beforehand.

As surprise surprise all those guys who could supposedly hardly walk played a full 90 minutes, the supposedly fit guys stayed on the bench and the reserves were so far away in East London that none of them could be called back for the game.

More self intoxication from Spud losers :)
