Marko Marin

Marko Marin’s career at Chelsea has never gone to plan ever since his move to the Blues in the summer of 2012. Last season he spent a season long deal at Spanish side Sevilla, helping the Andalusian club win the Europa League.

It was believed that the German would get his chances under Jose Mourinho but the huge competition for places meant he would be loaned again, this time to Italian side Fiorentina.

In Florence too, things haven’t gone to plan for the 25 year old. Marin has just featured in 4 appearances for Fiorentina and has failed to make an impression for Vincenzo Montella’s side. Italian website TMW have reported today that there is a remote chance on whether Fiorentina will exercise to option to buy Marin on a permanent deal in the summer.

As a result, Marin might return back to Chelsea in the upcoming January transfer window. The Blues too will try to find a potential suitor for the player. A move back to Germany would be the best option for the youngster, who needs to get enough game time rather than warming the sidelines. As of now, Marin’s future lies away from Fiorentina.
