Fiorentina to decide on the future of Liverpool target today


According to today’s Tuttosport, Fiorentina are set to decide the future of goalkeeper Norberto Neto later today. The Viola club is set to hold a meeting today to determine whether to sell the Brazilian.


The Brazilian’s future has been subject to intense speculation over the last few months. With his current contract set to expire in June, it is believed that Fiorentina are looking to cash out in January. Speculations intensified over the weekend as the Brazilian keeper confirmed that he had no wish to renew his contract with Fiorentina and is looking for a move away this winter.

The likes of Juventus, Roma and Liverpool have been linked with the keeper. Premier League giants Liverpool are in desperate need of a keeper and according to the Italian media, Neto has been closely followed by the Merseyside outfit.

La Nazione reports that owner Della Valle will be in Florence today to decide the player’s fate. Further, coach Vincenzo Montella will also be attending the meeting with the club’s directors to decide whether to offload the player or bench him for the remaining months of his contract.
