FIFA 2008 is the best soccer game ever. I mean realistic passing, shoot, runs, off the ball movements, commentary, crown, teams, game modes…. i could go on and on.. but you wait to see fifa 09.. its gonna be crazy.

Oh! PES!! whats is that!! its a game for non-football fans. the teams are fake, the game play sucks…all the players run the same way there is no significant movement for each player. its kinda unreal to say, poor graphics, fake shoots and stupid goalies, too easy to score, i play this game for a week and could find the fun in it… there is no game like FIFA 08… PES is does not feel like a real soccer game…

ItÂ´s very noticeable that you have preference for FIFA 08 and that takes all the neutrality to the review. You can say whatever you like but Winning eleven or Pro evolution is the most played game ever. Fifa 08 is getting close to “winning” the competition but they still have issues that winning eleven doesnÂ´t.

Nice article but I cant agree with the conclusion

FIFA’s passing and tackling is awful. The slide tackle is so ineffective its untrue, passing is either ridiculously quick or ridiculously slow, and its very difficult for anyone other than the strikers to score, as the midfield is often way too far adrift of the forwards.

… I make about 30 slide tackles a match, and on average, about two of them are mistimed.

Maybe I’m just good at FIFA side tackles. Or maybe you’re not good at FIFA slide tackles.

i ave to agree with kenny, guys, i’m a die hard WE/PES fan, played it since WE/PES is on PS1, use to laugh at FIFA titles and all the FIFA fan boys, but i ave to admit since playing both demo of this next gen title FIFA 08 kick ass PES 08, i’m only comparing to this two title this year releases, not taking account the pass title that been pusblish through out the years, i definately agree that in the pass WE/PES kick FIFA ass without a doubt. But this year, as it’s hard to admit FIFA 08 reign supreme

@Marco: Forgive me, I was exaggerating. However, it is definitely possible on lower AI difficulty settings.

Like I said, in the end it’s a matter of taste. WE 2008 for me felt too arcade-ish and plastic. It just felt as if it was lacking something. It didn’t feel right. On the other hand, I can appreciate the advances EA has made with FIFA and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

None of them are perfect and it will be interesting to see what Konami and EA have to offer next year.

Fifa 08 on Wii is only footy game on Wii… Its pretty good but LACKS manager mode and be a pro mode… got pissed!

WE 2008 may not be on par with its predecessors..mainly because they revamped the whole engine for this years release…but i still enjoy playing WE much more…FIFA is still riding on its trademark to sell
